Do any of you have any dubious connections with famous people.. for example my best friend at school stroked Eric Claptons dog,and another friend of mine ,during our nursing training, tested Dick Emerys urine!!!!!
also I used to see an osteopath who later went on to treat Emma Bs (spice girl) mum.

Anais,It's Jamie Redknapp,I met him years ago when he first joined Liverpool,I used to really fancy him till he pushed me ouy of the way at a barand when I told him to mind what he was doing he said "behave love dont you know who I am?" Yes and you're a bigger to**er than i thought. He soon shut up when a few of his team mates started laughing at him.

Bunny2 - It wasn't the clap, it was chlamydia and there was NO PROOF that was from me, anyway.....you promised never to tell.

I had a pluke on my nose at the same time as Kate Moss did. It was right in the same place too. Weird or what?

bunny2 · 12/05/2003 20:22

Mum2Toby .
What's a pluke?

eidsvold · 21/06/2003 11:51

watching the rugby today - dh reminded me that I had once taught Wendall Sailor - High School English....( he is an aussie player btw )

M2T · 21/06/2003 11:53

LOL Bunny2! I just noticed you're message... a pluke is a big spot with a whitehead ripe and ready for squeezing! Nice.

3GirlsMum · 21/06/2003 11:57

I have a few. When I was 17 I worked on a holiday camp on the IOW and I met Shane Ritchie and some members from the cast of watching who came in for a drink.

I met Neil Kinnock, who is actually quite tiny in real life!

I know Kym Marsh...my daughter went to her sons pre-school and infant school and I got to know her then!

oliveoil · 23/06/2003 13:25

My first love ahhhhhhh at 18 (many moons ago) was someone who is now famous and in a band, my lips are sealed however in case he is a closet mumsnetter (doubtful, probably on drugsnet). :0

bunny2 · 23/06/2003 19:50

Oliveoil, do tell. Go on ...
M2T, I love plukes, have had several boyfriends with plukes, I love to squeeze them . Never done a celebrity pluke though!

Tissy · 23/06/2003 19:59

I've just been told that a friend of mine was the Ozzy Osbourne look-alike in the new Simply Red video! He also did O.O. for a recent Harry Hill Green Cross Code send up. So, I know someone who's met a couple of famous people, and looks like another famous person!

Oliveoil!! You can't do that!!!

Bunny2 - that is truly grotesque, ya mink ya!

oscarsmum · 24/06/2003 15:47

My dad's cousin is married to a noble prize winner for chemistry and Dermot O'Leary chatted me up in Starbucks in Islington (well, actually he commented on ds's top, made by my sister-in-law to say "I love my Mum" under a photo of me and ds).

wickedstepmother · 24/06/2003 16:04

A few from me.....

My stepsister lives with Charile Brooks AKA 'Janine' in Eastenders.

My cousin went out with Howard from Take That for 18 months when they were really famous.

I asked Phil Bennett 'what do you do then?' at a sportsmans dinner in London. Apparently Phil Bennett is a REALLY famous rugby player - ask your DP/DH !

Handed Geoff Hurst (one of the 1966 World Cup squad) a plate of vol au vents to carry through at a family dinner party.

N.B. My sporting ones were when I was with an ex whose father was v well known in sporting celeb circles

bunny2 · 24/06/2003 21:31

Wickedstepmother, I think Charlie Brooks is great and has a lovely smile. Do pass it on to her for me.

Freddie Starr leered at my legs last summer, then his eyes travelled upwards and he had lost interest by the time he reached my face. He definately leered though.

wickedstepmother · 24/06/2003 21:43

The big question is, Bunny, did you let him eat you hamster ?!

Will do my best to pass on your message

wickedstepmother · 24/06/2003 21:44

'your hamster' DOH !

codswallop · 24/06/2003 21:45

what happened to Howard then?

wickedstepmother · 24/06/2003 21:52

He's still alive as far as I know...

RockingRosebud · 24/06/2003 22:15

Used to do Nigel Lythgoe's teeth, very dirty mouth if anyone's interested.

Also Ross Kemp used to be a good friend many years ago (when he had hair) and he showed me round the Eastenders set inside and out, even saw Lou Beale's grave and I met Sharon and Clyde!!

bunny2 · 25/06/2003 09:02

Wickedstepmother, I wouldnt let him eat any part of me

Rockingrosebud, I used to drink with Clydes Eastenders Dad. His nephew worked with a friend of mine and that's how I met him. He turned up at mine drunk at about 2.30 am one night hoping for 'a coffee'.

Baba · 25/06/2003 14:08

Here goes:-

I used to be in the band "The Toy Dolls" (remember Nelly the Elephant anyone??)before they were famous?
I used to appear on the Roxy (dodgy music programme in Newcastle which replaced the Tube) and boogied with Kid Jensen every week
My Dad used to live next door to Elkie Brooks.
On the Roxy I met Bros!!! (and their Grolch caps!!)
My Dad used to sell hoovers with Les Dawson in Manchester's NEEB.
Also on the Roxy I met Johnny Hates Jazz and gave their keyboard player (Micky Most son) a horror book!
I met Sisters of Mercy, Jimmy Summerville and the Communards.
I danced with Rick Astley on The Roxy and watched him fall off the stage drunk during rehearsals!!
I had a pint with Fish from Marillion
Denise Robertson from This Morning lives on my Mums street in Sunderland
My Mum went to Denise Robertsons wedding and sat next to Richard and Judy and talked about Manchester with them (and got her picture in Hello magazine)
I met Mohammed Ali once (well I got quite close to him at Gypsys Green Stadium in South Shields!)
Err, I know a man called Michael Finnigan?????

M2T · 25/06/2003 14:15

Baba.... is that the guy with whiskers on his chinnagin? I know him too!! Small world.

ghengis · 25/06/2003 14:56

I went to school with Eamonn Andrews son and grew up in the same town as The Edge and Adam Clayton from U2. Gabriel Byrne once bought me a drink and I sat next to Craig Doyle on a Ryanair flight from Gatwick to Dublin.

Oh, and my cousin is marrying Time Henman's cousin in August. So I'm practically famous myself!!!!

wickedstepmother · 25/06/2003 15:04

Lucky you, Ghengis. Gabriel Byrne is GORGEOUS..

ghengis · 25/06/2003 15:10

Even nicer in the flesh and a real gent. Lovely crinkly eyes and a great sense of humour. Sadly, he's not my type and I'm not his. Good pint of guinness though!
