Hello all, I am a hard (lol!) working mother of 2 and am here to offer advice/empathy to all you lovely mummies out there!

And, are my suspicions with regard to Granny Pig and Grandad Dog unfounded?

EVye · 08/01/2010 19:16

Miss Rabbit - Have you ever seen Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom? I like Nanny Plum

MissRabbitLive · 08/01/2010 20:00

Belle, there was a Mr Gazelle, and a Mr Dog.
It is a very sad tale.

Mr Dog was hanging out with the Wolf Family from the wrong end of town and Monsieur gazelle walked past one night wearing his beret at, what they later insisted, was an unnecessarily jaunty angle.
Needless to say, words were exchanged, Monsieur Gazelle was winning the banter when the Wolves decided enough was enough and attacked.
Mr Dog and all the Wolf family were sentenced to 25 years in Parkhurst Safari Park and Mr Gazelle was buried in a private ceremony. This is why Madame Gazelle always wears black.

Regarding granny Pig and Grandad Dog, much as it makes me go , The older generation here are all swingers.

EVye, I don't know what you mean? is that on television? We don't have one, what with living underground, the ariels don't work.

Miss Rabbit - I don't understand how it is possible for Rabbits and pigs to feed the ducks and have parrots and goldfish as pets. Where I live, people have rabbits and pigs as pets which are of a similar size to the ducks (although bigger than goldfish!) And how is it that the Vet Dr Hamster is the same size as you? It is most confusing for me!

scrappydappydoo · 08/01/2010 20:07

Do you get any royalties from the copious amount of toys and merchandise available?

MissRabbitLive · 08/01/2010 20:13

Scrappy? Toys and merchandise? I had no idea! All we knew is that a documentary team wanted to film our little society.

Doodleydoo. The answer to that is quite simple. Our ancestors were all living at Chernobyl Zoo when the accident happened. We were all genetically changed from that point and the next generation of animals could walk and talk. The UN agreed that we could live our lives out in happy isolation. There were no ducks, parrots or fish at our zoo, which is why we have them as pets.

MissRabbitLive · 08/01/2010 20:15

Sorry. I meant to add Dr. Hamster the Vet and Dr. Brown Bear's ancestors were in the medical bay when the accident happened and genetically absorbed the knowledge available there.

I'm sorry Miss Rabbit but yes there is a vast amount of merchandise available - everything from clothes to colouring books you can even buy toy replicas of your helicopter. We own Grandpa pigs bathtime boat, a toy playgroup, a toy playground (complete with toy rebecca rabbit!!), a toy car AND adventure buggy. You name it you can buy it with peppa pig written on it. I would be contacting your lawyers if I were you - you have been sold short.

I bet the money from that merchandising is going straight into the bank accounts of those pigs...

scrappydappydoo · 08/01/2010 21:14

Quite - They're probably putting it away to pay for a speech therapist for George and to bribe various teachers and colleges for when peppa is older.

I've been a bit concerned about George's speech too tbh. It's a bit concerning at 2 yrs old he only seems to have one (unclear) word. I'd definitely recommend Mummy/Daddy pig get him referred for some SALT.

Anyway, something else I've wondered - are Granny and Grandpa pig the parents of Mummy or Daddy pig?

harimosmummy · 08/01/2010 23:03

They are mummy pigs parents...

In the episode where Granny and Grandpa are clearing out the loft, they refer to things that mummy pig had in her bedroom when she was a little piggy.

I know too much about Peppa pig

MissRabbitLive · 09/01/2010 00:16

Oy! MummyPig! Where are you, you deceitful bitch? I want a word with you....

enough with the bad language Miss Rabbit! I refer you to the guidelines at the top of the page. And I'll have you know MNHQ jurisdiction does apply to you as I have met MNHQ (at the toddler book launch), and even went out with them afterwards. I had a good gossip with Justine about you....

Not here for long as have been out this evening with Unle Pig, and what a lovely eve we had! Am knackered now though, so off to bed soon. Not many muddy puddles to roll about in tomorrow so shall have to make do with the snow!

I'll have you know we only receive minimal royalties for the programme, and the rest to charity. try not to be so bitter about your % share Miss Rabbit. The show is about our lives, and you are merely a bit player (or a player who puts it about a bit....)

And Grandma Pig is not a swinger!! (and another slander....dear me) That pampas grass was there when they bought the house!

And all of you speaking about George's speech, I'll have you know he is just shy in front of the cameras.

Anyway. Miss Rabbit, rein it in a bit. Much as I want to vent about you here, I need to keep my cool here as I want our contracts renewed for the next series. The merch sales do help with my addiction to peachy coloursed dresses that suit me, so I need to get them tailor made. And that isn't cheap!

So Mummy Pig what charity is it that you give your royalties to and exactly what % do you get? (I do like to know what charities I'm giving to).

FWIW Miss Rabbit I have complete sympathies with your side - I too have my problems with a certain famous dog that is not as stupid as he looks and makes out. I do not see any royalties at all and he just spends it all on scooby snacks.

MummyPigLive · 09/01/2010 15:30

Miss Rabbit, very bad form taking our 'discussion' over to another thread!

You know there is no lawsuit, please do stop exaggerating for sympathy on this thread! (passive aggressive )

Scrappy, so sorry to hear about your troubles, maybe you should start a thread?

Re the royalties, the charity the money goes to a very specific charity. I'm not sure whether you are aware but there is a syndrome which affects rabbits and their behaviour. Its most common, obvious sign is the need for attention, and a sense of megalomania. It really is very tragic as suffers can't help lying about others to attract attention to themselves. Much as your human 'trolls' do!

We're all hoping that one day Miss Rabbit will call them and ask for the help she so dearly needs.

Afternoon girls! I have been veyr busy this morning digging everyone out of the snow. Poor old Dr Brown Bear had gotten so cold he was hibernating and I had to wake him to go and see on madame Gazelle who has had a nasty trip on her front path.
Luckily I am no longer needed at the supermarket as we have run out of food from panic buying (I'm looking at you Daddy Pig) so I can stay home and bake some lovely carrot cake for my little kittens.

Sorry to hear about your troubles scrappy, it's infuriating not to be recognised on your own talent, isn't it?

Oh just so virtuous, aren't you!

I posted yet another leaflet for MRRUS (meglo rabbits R Us) through your door the other day.

Still haven't made the call? Or too busy with your 'Better than The Rabbit, evening chatline?

MissRabbitLIVE · 10/01/2010 21:33

MummyPig. I suggest we call it quits? This backbiting and sniping is not good for either of us, and can't help our DC's as they love to play with each other, especially the DS's

So, I hereby apologise for the things i have said on here.

Can we bury the hatchet?

OP posts:
MummyPigLive · 10/01/2010 21:51

Ok. I apologise too. Lets leave it here

The rest of MN doesn't need to know about our goings on.... Quite enough what with Milmonstertwat/farmgirleejit going on to keep them occupied.
