Chris Corcoran, presenter of CBeebies' Doodle Do will be joining us for a live webchat on Mumsnet on Friday between 1-2pm.

And, lovely chap that he is, he's recorded a special pre-webchat video for you to watch - see below.

To celebrate Children's Art Week (6-12 July), Chris has joined forces with Haliborange to host a series of exclusive creative master classes for its newly launched Shiny School. Chris has created three imaginative tutorials for Haliborange Shiny School, designed to suit ages 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 years and needing no specialised or expensive equipment. The site gives parents ideas and tips on how to have fun and learn something new as a family, and also provides nutritional advice.

Chris is happy to answer all your questions (within reason!) during this sponsored chat, and will also be giving some creative inspiration for things to do with your children over the summer holidays.

i'd like him to admit that none of the show is scripted. It can't be, its just so funny. Those spiders just spend all their time trying to wind him up.

Best bit of the show - when the spiders do their own making, the voice over for the children's making, and the story where the spiders join in. Is that the whole show?

1. Okay then, craft boy, what would you suggest for a highly excitable 3 year old and a 21 month old who likes to chuck and eat things, but is a dab hand with a crayon?

1. Why are tv crafts of the 'glue in a nice tippy-overable pot' 'here is a nice shallow tray of paint for you to throw' variety. Is it because you don't have to tidy it up?

1. Who comes up with the craft ideas, is there some sweatshop hell of blue peter presenter rejects forced to design objects from the contents of the average bin bag?

Chris - if you could answer the following I'd be most appreciative

1. why does my 21 month old insist on grabbing the felt tip pens from the art case that grandma "kindly" bought him, ignoring the crayons and pencils?
   
2. do you have any top tips for removing felt tip pen from magnolia walls and cashmere jumpers?
   
   Also - Big Cook Little Cook both look as though they'd rather be eating horse manure than presenting a kids tv show (the self loathing in their eyes is excruciating to watch). How have you avoided this? Or has crafting for children always been in your life?

I have just been reading the Haliborange Shiny School website and disovered this,

"Chris will be doing his doodle-do across the UK, to help parents unlock their child?s artistic potential."

Chris, I am not that worried about unlocking my children's artistic potential, but wondered whether you would be willing to do your doodle-do round these parts anyway? I have glue and feathers if that helps.
