Chris Corcoran, presenter of CBeebies' Doodle Do will be joining us for a live webchat on Mumsnet on Friday between 1-2pm.

And, lovely chap that he is, he's recorded a special pre-webchat video for you to watch - see below.

To celebrate Children's Art Week (6-12 July), Chris has joined forces with Haliborange to host a series of exclusive creative master classes for its newly launched Shiny School. Chris has created three imaginative tutorials for Haliborange Shiny School, designed to suit ages 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 years and needing no specialised or expensive equipment. The site gives parents ideas and tips on how to have fun and learn something new as a family, and also provides nutritional advice.

Chris is happy to answer all your questions (within reason!) during this sponsored chat, and will also be giving some creative inspiration for things to do with your children over the summer holidays.

If you can't make it on the day, please feel free to post your advance questions here.

Oh I thought Misha was a girl's name. I was picturing that woman who took over What Not To Wear from Trinny and Susannah

Hmm, I don't trust anyone on twitter who has a huge number of followers but doesn't follow anyone themselves. I don't care who they are.

You are all v funny ladeez. Did you all have slightly hectic complexions immediately after the webchat? there will be dp's confused by skittishness tonight, across the land, ymmw.

I am irked to have missed this. I love you, CC, because you treated your puppet friends with gentleness and respect; because you took their spidery concerns seriously, and never mocked or belittled them for beign spiders, or oddly-coloured. You will make a wonderful father.

On another note - did I really see miss Cappie Chino amongst us, or am I illoosinating?

RubberDuck I seem to recall him having various confirmations as the real man when he first started tweeting, but even if he isn't, he is amusing

Report
serenity · 10/07/2009 17:59

It's him. He confirmed it at the convention. Heard it with my own two ears. Thanked him face-to-face for indulging his minions in the whole insanity.

Must you rub our noses in it serenity? It's definitely him because of how it came about and he has confirmed it a couple of times. And I love him and I couldn't bear it not to be.

serenity, I see the problem with the link I posted. Completely invalid. Thank the Lord you were here to help.

TheFool: oh I'm not wondering whether he's real or not. I just generally distrust people that use Twitter as a write-only medium. I don't expect them to follow everyone who follows them, but some sign of interaction would be at least courteous.

"there will be dp's confused by skittishness tonight, across the land, ymmw"

There will be even more DPs confused by requests to wear tight jeans, a thick woolly glove on one hand and have a ready supply of PVA glue and chopped up paper to hand.

Aaah bronze, the problem is that Laura Ashley paint is not designed with children in mind - you can't wipe it without taking the paint off the wall

Have told DH it happened whilst I was doing housewifey things in the kitchen

Report
SoupDragon · 10/07/2009 22:55

Did you choose the paint before or after you had children?

Report
Washersaurus · 10/07/2009 22:57

Before obviously

But the cat ruined it with vom etc waaay before the kids got near it....

Yes, our cats trashed our old (non washable covers) sofas and coffee table before children came along
