Chris Corcoran, presenter of CBeebies' Doodle Do will be joining us for a live webchat on Mumsnet on Friday between 1-2pm.

And, lovely chap that he is, he's recorded a special pre-webchat video for you to watch - see below.

To celebrate Children's Art Week (6-12 July), Chris has joined forces with Haliborange to host a series of exclusive creative master classes for its newly launched Shiny School. Chris has created three imaginative tutorials for Haliborange Shiny School, designed to suit ages 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 years and needing no specialised or expensive equipment. The site gives parents ideas and tips on how to have fun and learn something new as a family, and also provides nutritional advice.

Chris is happy to answer all your questions (within reason!) during this sponsored chat, and will also be giving some creative inspiration for things to do with your children over the summer holidays.

If you can't make it on the day, please feel free to post your advance questions here.

I've never photocopied my bottom. Am I missing out?

I don't have a photocopier and my only access to one is in a public library? Is this a misuse of free facilities?

Shall I try and improvise something with my webcam? How will I press the button in that position?

Cappuccino · 10/07/2009 13:26

likes birds? What is he, Bill Oddie?

SoupDragon · 10/07/2009 13:26

Do you speak from experience when you say "very hard to photocopy someone else?s bottom ? best thing to do is do your own and then give them the copy. " ?

TheFool · 10/07/2009 13:26

next week's round up is just Chris isn't it?

SoupDragon · 10/07/2009 13:26

A scanner would work, SOH.

Allegedly.

weegiemum · 10/07/2009 13:26

I have 3 children Fluffy Spiders in my house who need to be taught to actually do the tidying up and putting away bit. Would you like to come round to our house and sing the song and demonstrate?

TAFKAtheUrbanDryad · 10/07/2009 13:27

TheFool - yes, this is Alex. I want to slap his silly face. His eyebrows irritate me immensely.

brimfull · 10/07/2009 13:27

slug · 10/07/2009 13:28

Hi Chris. My daughter loves you and wants your job when she grows up (obviously she will fit in with her fairy duties as well). My question is, apart from practising being a presenter by explaining every step of every creation she makes is there anything she can do to increase her chances of getting the job? (I'm not talking about sleeping with postman Pat either)

SoupDragon · 10/07/2009 13:28

MP, that's what the reduction option on a copier is for.

ChrisCorcoran · 10/07/2009 13:28

oops 'forgotten' not 'forgetten'. Once a teacher always a teacher!

Washersaurus · 10/07/2009 13:29

Oh at least Alex has his horrible skinny freckly arms covered up in that photo

Dumbledoresgirl · 10/07/2009 13:29

Hi Chris, thanks for answering my questions. I agree - Stick's sexuality isn't really an issue, it is just nice to know as the gaydar doesn't always work that well over the airwaves.

Have you answered the question as to whether Stick is your favourite puppet? I know you said you love them like your kids, but honestly, even parents have a secret favourite. What are the other two called anyway?

ShowOfHands · 10/07/2009 13:29

Don't scanners get a bit hot? Isn't there a chance the plate could crack? God it'd be like childbirth all over again.

I'll fashion myself a poking stick and go with the webcam route. I'll upload the pic later. Hope you've got widescreens.

ChrisCorcoran · 10/07/2009 13:30

Showofhands god know get in there! Thats what libraries are there for.
