krabbiepatty · 06/07/2006 22:46

Did anyone understand about these tops with hems that cut yoru stomach in half - does she mean that the lower half is hanging out the bottom? Or that the hems are very very long? Or that there are extra decorative hems hanging out in the middle of the garment?

EmmyLou · 06/07/2006 22:46

So thats Liza T, Dr Tanya, who else?

Wouldn't mind an online chat with Eddie Izzard. That'd be a tad surreal

southeastastra · 06/07/2006 22:46

we should all wear jumpsuits, and express ourselves in our hair and make up, we spend too much money on clothes

MrsJohnCusack · 06/07/2006 22:47

oh god
I would like like Jimmy Krankie in a jumpsuit

Cappucino · 06/07/2006 22:47

she didn't answer my question

NormaSnorks · 06/07/2006 22:48

Typical MN-er trying to follow Angela's legging advice

MrsSpoon · 06/07/2006 22:48

Why go as far as jumpsuits, remodel some bin bags?

Cappucino · 06/07/2006 22:48

pmsl normasnorks!

poisson · 06/07/2006 22:49

thsi bit?

"Another good tip is to find tops with a hem that sits accross the middle of your stomach. this sounds so so wrong, but it actually does a weird optical illusion by cutting that area in half. For this reason, a drop waist is often really good too (also tres fashionable this season)"

krabbiepatty · 06/07/2006 22:50

yes, wtf does that mean?

poisson · 06/07/2006 22:50

? somethign like that?

saw a much nice one int here today but it isnt on line}

EmmyLou · 06/07/2006 22:50

She didn't answer my question on jeans..

I do have a secret weapon - I have a friend who is a fashion stylist who I ask bleating questions to as we walk (sorry - as I follow her pleadingly) up to school in the mornings when she isn't working. She has promised to escort me to buy some jeans before she moves to Nottingham . Told her she must join MN so I can continue with pleading/bleating type whingey fashion questions.

krabbiepatty · 06/07/2006 22:50

And surely a drop waist is the opposite, she has been messing with us ladies...

Reginald · 06/07/2006 22:51

I have taken note of the hem thing

NormaSnorks · 06/07/2006 22:51

Special link for WWW...

krabbiepatty · 06/07/2006 22:52

Ah, a sort of waisted tunic, hmm, certainly counterintuitive...

southeastastra · 06/07/2006 22:54

i suppose we would all look lovely if we dressed in empire lines dresses and skipped across fields looking for mr darcy (in soft focus)

poisson · 06/07/2006 22:55

no think id look liekt he village idiot

all lumpen

krabbiepatty · 06/07/2006 22:56

Ah but she was messing with us there again too, they were empire line but went in again mysteriously. the truth is none of these clothes exist OR ARE EVEN CAPABlE OF EXISTING. very spooky.

southeastastra · 06/07/2006 22:56

have you seen the wicker man, that's how we should all dress

poisson · 07/07/2006 08:50

ah it was a hoot

puff · 07/07/2006 09:33

bugger I missed this

muma3 · 07/07/2006 14:16

which shops do you reckon provide good fashion for money and how do you get a wardrobe full of clothes that fit? it takes me ages to find anything that fits my size so by the time i have found something to go with it the original item is out of fashion . im constantly falling behind
