Get yourself to M&S WWW.... not trendy, but lovely and W I D E ......(I suffer same problems... should be called NormaStoes really...)

AngelaButtolph · 06/07/2006 21:57

fullmoonfiend was asking about norkless skinnies. as queen the of the norkless, I am of course, qualified to talk about this...

well Kate Moss is also norkless and she has been sporting the hottest look of the moment; the hybrid swimming cossie/bikini. its basically a swimsuit with sides cut out. Try Hennes; they've got loads. it looks very bond girl, kind of sporty, but because the lines are so complicated, it kind of does look better uninterrupted by norks. Otherwise, I will just be going for the fakey padded balconette style I usually go for, which is always a winner for smaller titties.

laughinglil · 06/07/2006 21:59

angela but those swimming cossies are so not good for tan lines!

fullmoonfiend · 06/07/2006 22:02

thanks Angela! Though if I looked like Kate Moss don't think I'd care what I was wearing

Norma - yes I nicked the line but there's no better way of saying that! (though the column is banal)

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2006 22:04

"Frannyandzooey was asking about trainer socks. was wondering if that is a sweat issue?"

no it was not a sweat issue

AngelaButtolph · 06/07/2006 22:05

Hello laughinglil. Okay, you're a young mum and you don't know what to wear round the shops with your 2 year old. y'know what? I am a massive massive fan of dresses, and I really think they don't get enough credit. It is literally speed fashion at its finest. jump in, zip up, whole outfit! jump into a pair of shoes; done! I reckon you need to invest in a couple of dresses this season. There are loads of day dresses that aren't too 'dressy'; top shop and warehouse have some great shirt dresses. And I am living in a black midlength babydoll dress from Hennes at the mo. its machine washable, makes me look a little bit Nicole Richie, can be worn with leggings when its colder, and a cropped jacket and a pair of ballet pumps. Dreses are like no-brainer fashion. soooo much easier than jeans and a million different top combinations! Just shove it on and forget about it. Also; I think the leggings underneath everything can make dresses perfect for running around in.

MrsSpoon · 06/07/2006 22:05

Any advice for us square people?

AngelaButtolph · 06/07/2006 22:05

Cappucino · 06/07/2006 22:08

mousie · 06/07/2006 22:09

carriemumsnet · 06/07/2006 22:12

Cappucino - this is the problem. As soon as anyone mentions leggings my mind shifts back to leggings then y'know, 1980s etc. And WHY WHY WHY add an extra layer of bulk??? Didn't get the dresses over jeans thing for the same reason (but didn't Dr Tanya look lovely....)

poisson · 06/07/2006 22:14

i htink i love angla!

she anskwewrd my question

i was right!!
jewellery big
cna we get her on every month?

AngelaButtolph · 06/07/2006 22:14

wickedwaterwitch your shoe dilemma; basically if you have wide feet, you're always better off going for a round toe (good cos its in at the moment!) the thicker the heel, the more comfortable you will be. I would go for a round toed style with a thick heel from Bertie, Topshop or Faith. Try to get something in leather, so it loosens up to fit your foot shape. Also wedges are really in at the moment, and very comfortable, because they really support your foot. There are a lot of styles that are quite espadrilly.

EmmyLou · 06/07/2006 22:15

Can we hire her for Meet-Ups???

WideWebWitch · 06/07/2006 22:15
