Questions for David Cameron

We know what he thinks about education, the economy and Europe, but what about the really important stuff? Like how many nappies, exactly, has he changed in the last two weeks? And does young Arthur favour a three-in-one travel system, or a rugged off-roader? You can find out the answers to these and other pressing questions (and tell him what you think of all that tummy-patting) next Monday lunchtime when David Cameron visits Mumsnet to give his first interview since the birth of his third child. David will be online from 12.45pm. You can post advance questions for him here.

Yup, me too along the lines of others. Why is it a virtual myth that being a working parent is financially better than being a stay at home one? I say this because child tax credit is utterly inflexible in reality and does not even cater for hose of us that have more than two children who need care whilst we work. It would have cost me close to £1000 pounds in childcare per week when I was earning £1600 per month. Laughable!

So do the Conversatives have any great plans for addressing this problem or will it just be a cosmetically enhanced version of what we have now under Labour?

WideWebWitch · 27/02/2006 12:50

why does it show 29 posts in active convos but I can only see 5 when I go into the thread?

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 27/02/2006 12:51

I think mn are editing and checking all the posts before they are pasted and putting them in slowly so DC doesnt get overwhelmed and every question gets an answer :)

LIZS · 27/02/2006 12:52

they are being moderated so although 29 posts have been made only 5 have been processed onto the thread.

WideWebWitch · 27/02/2006 12:53

Thanks LIZS, thought I was losing it!

doormat · 27/02/2006 12:56

WideWebWitch · 27/02/2006 12:58

bk, I can't even see that and I've got fast broadband, what's goingon?

Hulababy · 27/02/2006 12:58

Same questions are appearing a couple of times...so is Mn actually checking what is posted?

Furball · 27/02/2006 13:09

cod · 27/02/2006 13:09

arf

naturellement

Debbiethemum · 27/02/2006 13:18

My question got posted - yipee
Will he actually answer it though, or just waffle

tangerinecath · 27/02/2006 13:23

what did you think of his answer DTM, I posted a similar question.

All he seems to be able to say is that it's under review!

Debbiethemum · 27/02/2006 13:26

I know - waffle
If he actually does what he says he will look into, either tax relief on all childcare or transferable tax allowance, he might even get my vote. And I swore that I would never vote tory again after thatcher.

PeachyClair · 27/02/2006 13:32

My local homestart had to make most staff redundant due to lack of cfunds, will you commit to supporting essential but charitable services or just let them fall apart?

meowmix · 27/02/2006 13:35

is it just me or is the live chat not really doing it for everyone else too?

cod · 27/02/2006 13:37

i am a magistrate. How do you see the role of the magistrates courts changing in the next few years?

( not i have very good mag typing on):)

cod · 27/02/2006 13:40

"note" even

Caligula · 27/02/2006 13:41

Cod is mention of you being a magistrate an attempt to regain the high ground after being easily identified as the frivolous voice of mumsnet!?

cod · 27/02/2006 13:41

oh yes

Debbiethemum · 27/02/2006 13:41

I know, it is so slow and he just appears to be answering the personal questions and just waffling over the policy questions. BUT he did answer the MMR question which Tony has always refused to.

Caligula · 27/02/2006 13:41

He's getting on my nerves he's not answering the questions.

Imagine my surprise.

Caligula · 27/02/2006 13:42

Get yer gavel out

cod · 27/02/2006 13:42

do you think the fish will score a hattrick?

WideWebWitch · 27/02/2006 13:42

It's v slow, I wouldn't have interrupted my housework had I known, I'd have just waited to read it later. oh well, I'm here now!
