We are thrilled to announce that comedian, writer and actor Dawn French will be joining us here at the Towers on Wednesday 3 November, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm for a live webchat.
Dawn has appeared in some of the country's most long-running, fave shows including French and Saunders, The Comic Strip Presents?, Vicar of Dibley and most recently, Roger and Val Have Just Got In.
On top of her screen achievements, Dawn's memoir, Dear Fatty, topped the best-selling charts and now her first novel, A Tiny Bit Marvellous, is out and it's more than a tiny bit marvellous that she's joining us for a webchat. Hope you can too, but if you're unable to make it on Wednesday, post your questions here.

Hi Dawn

What made you and Jennifer decline the offer of an OBE? Did you agree about it?

IMHO you are one of the nations best :)

Gosh, you're nice and prompt. Are you actually THERE there, in Ye Olde Kentishe Towne?

No not here yet but she is coming - it's a test!

DirtyMartini · 03/11/2010 19:15

Hello Dawn -- you rock :)

Do you listen to The Archers, and if so, what do you reckon is going to be the "Rocking Ambridge To Its Core" storyline over Xmas?

Report
DirtyMartini · 03/11/2010 19:17

oh, spooky, I'm listening to R4 (hence Archers query) and Dawn is on Front Row right now.

No question, just sitting here in a bit of a hero-worshippey position.

DH fancies you, and hopes thinks you're probably incredibly badly behaved behind all the twinkly eyes, but you still have to like me best.

Hello Dawn :)

What was your favourite moment in the Vicar of Dibley? I loved the part where you fell in a puddle that was deeper than it looked. Makes me Grin just to think of it.

I also love your hair :)

She is busy tonight. Let's forget the webchat and talk nonsense instead.

Dawn, who would you slap first with a wet kipper. Janet Street Porter or Piers Morgan?

I reckon with a good aim you could get both at once.

Special hell. Right there.

Dawn, would you be able to give yourself the biggest most congratualtory self hug for being so fabulous?

You have got dd and I through 6 months of dutch bedsit hell with the Vicar of Dibley. We could not have done it without you (the sea weed joke is the coolest one in a provincial primary school in the Netherlands because of you!!!!)

I don't care if it is not a proper question, I need to show my love and awe and admiration!!!!!!!!

Just popped on to say I've read Dear Fatty and thought it was great. I love you in the Vicar of Dibley and the christmas episode with the multiple xmas dinners was pure genius. Any more specials or has it been put to bed forever?

Damn. I forgot all about this and I'm just about to serve up dinner.

We're having pork curry (home-made, of course), with rice, naan and home-made-courtesy-of-Sainsbury onion bhajis and veggie samosas - just in case you were interested.

I think you're fab.

Will read this chat later.
