I have a question about centaur babies.

Would the human section be all floppy and helpless like a whole human baby, while the horsey but be able to walk around like a horse baby? Or would both half’s be either humanly floppy and under developed or Horsily matured?

and how would mama centaur birth something that shape?

No.

Mermaids give birth to eggs, like frogspawn, that need to be put in ponds to grow.

Then arms and tails sprout like tadpoles as they develop.

So mermaids could choose not to have them fertilised?

That makes sense.🤔

Camdenish · 04/08/2023 21:40

@JenniferAllisonPhillipaSue I’d love to think that in 10,000 million years time, when AI rules the world, there’s a god floppy-centaur-cantering-horse-baby that we worship by providing it with Pom Bears.

BerthaKit · 04/08/2023 22:03

Things I have learnt

t Rex arms
T. rex sex

mermaids are smooth not scaly

horse babies have feathers

centaurs can usefully feed from both their boobs and their udders.

unicorn babies horns

birthing a centaur baby should be fairly easy due to horsey pelvis.

never drink from the love pool with a horse

Woah; I’ve had a hard day and a very large wine and whisky; started this thread and I think you might have broken my brain 🤯🤯🤯

Errolwasahero · 04/08/2023 22:09

Started reading this thread, obv. (Just took two goes to post this, so hoping it makes sense eventually…)

Errolwasahero · 04/08/2023 22:09

(The wine and the whisky were separate)

Camdenish · 04/08/2023 22:12

Can we also have some of what you’re having @Errolwasahero ?

Neverimagined · 04/08/2023 22:14

I have no thoughts to add, I just want to thank you for starting this brilliant thread.

Hang on hang on - are people implying that centaurs are born from a horse parent and a human parent? I had always thought their parents would be centaurs going back to time immemorial. Also very wise and clever so presumably quite modern medically and have this whole baby/foal birth thing DOWN.

No, not necessarily. But in Xena, Ephiny who is an Amazon gave birth to a centaur baby, and ALL the centaurs in Xena are male (Ephiny's baby was a boy) Same thing in Hercules, female human (Lyla) and centaur (Deric) had a son. All the centaurs in Harry Potter are male too.

I'm on a train with patchy signal. Slowly getting through the thread. Have we established where centaur umbilical cords are attached?

Errolwasahero · 04/08/2023 22:29

@ camdenish well it’s a very large goassnif Pinotage followed by a triple shot of Jura, after a day of firstly not getting the job AND then getting your offer accepted on the house! Not sure anyone could ever replicate that experience exactly, tbh.

I reckon they are di-placental. One to the human navel, the other to the horse navel.

Errolwasahero · 04/08/2023 22:30

Glass of. Fucking iPhones. 😬

Errolwasahero · 04/08/2023 22:31

I’m off to bed. Will analyse all your answers and award points tomorrow 😎👌🥃

Fair. That's an awful lot of foetus to sustain.

Also, horses are herbivores so what do centaurs eat?

According to the Narnia books they have to eat human food but also need to graze a couple of hours a day as well.

WandaWomblesaurus · 04/08/2023 22:36

OP Is all this because you've seen the Adam Driver advert where he is running with the horse?
And then becomes a sexy centaur?

You want babies with him?

Enjoy

DéjàMoo82 · 04/08/2023 12:29

Got a point though. You don't really see centaur babies in art or film... maybe because it's quite a strangely disturbing thought.

Fantasia. Def baby centaurs and fauns I think.
I think they were self sufficient from birth. Divine beings in Greek myths were up and atom as soon as they popped out. Heracles strangled snakes in his cradle, Hermes made his first lyre.
it’s when you start thinking about mermaids and mermaid sex that your mind explodes.

For extra lightsaber

PandaChopChop · 04/08/2023 22:44

I've learnt a lot of things today but the sight of foal feathers has made me feel a bit sick 😫

Camdenish · 04/08/2023 22:44

That does sound like a day when you might need to mix your drinks and think about mythical offspring @Errolwasahero

ErrolTheDragon · 04/08/2023 22:30

I reckon they are di-placental. One to the human navel, the other to the horse navel.

Wouldn't that be bi-placental? Just thinking that humans are bi-pedal not di-depedal...

And what's the difference between fauns and centaurs? Do fauns all wear scarves?
