Help me place this actor??

I saw him on a train. Can’t for the life of me remember who he is.

He’s a British tv actor, probably in his 50s or early 60s. Grey hair, used to be blonde. Piercing blue eyes. Often plays a hero/ love interest type role.

a bit like Greg wise but shorter!

I feel sure he was in a Sunday night drama or a soap or something but I can’t find him online! It’s driving me mad!

So have we decided it ISN'T John Michie after all ?

I thought it was John Mitchie until I put my glasses on.

I spend half of every programme on IMDb working out where I recognise the actors from.

I used to fancy John Michie back in the day when he was in the fabulously awful Albion Market!

Aaargh! He’s definitely the same category as most of these people. But not one of them!

I have an image in my mind of him standing in front of a northern English rural backdrop. I’ve searched through the emmerdale cast abs he’s not one of them

Ooh there was a soap filming in Clacton, maybe he was coming back from filming. No idea how close Clacton/Margate are mind. And possibly a different train line.

We've had a few nominations for this to go into Classics so we're going to move it there now.
