I am 50% of the way through chemo. (second time around)(different primary)

My DS (18) has just been diagnosed with depression I think me being diagnosed again was the tipping point.

Due to above I am having to delegate Christmas, it will get done, it did before just not my way.

DH retiring in three years, should be more than enough to live on, but at the moment I am worrying (Like I couldn't worry about that closer to the time) Hmm

Sausage rolls, my job, ditto mince pies.........if they don't happen my DH and my DS will suck it up. Just me worrying.

DS struggling in college and have to go to a meeting on Wednesday

So if some of the night shift would like to come and mind my ,worries whilst I attempt to sleep, it would be gratefully received.

Feel free to add your own, just writing that down has helped.

Evening- hope you've all been sleeping well . I'm back at work tomorrow after 5 weeks! I'm very tired but j know what my body is like. It will try and stay awake! I don't think I'm really ready physically to go back but I kind of feel if I don't go back I'll just stay at home not moving forward so I may as well give it a go.
Please can I leave my worries here so I can sleep?
@StudentHelp good luck with your exams tomorrow.

NumbersStation · 12/01/2020 23:03

I’ve got you @girlofthenorth

I hope you get a lovely sleep and all goes well tomorrow. You can do this flower!

Sweet dreams 💐

And all the best StudentHelp! Hope you are already sleeping! Smile

2018SoFarSoGreat · 12/01/2020 23:15

I can help @Numberstation.

It is a beautiful afternoon here. I am knitting dolls sleeping bags, the cat is quite perplexed by all my elbow clacking.

Good luck at work tomorrow @girlofthenorth. Good luck with exams @Studenthelp.

Sleep well now.

NumbersStation · 12/01/2020 23:17

Lovely @2018SoFarSoGreat

It’ll be smashing to have company Smile

Thank you! Not feeling great about it but I’ll try my best! Only managed 1.5 hours sleep last night so hoping I get a few more hours tonight.

They’ll be over by Tuesday afternoon and my next module starts on Thursday so it’ll be back to normal straight away

NumbersStation · 12/01/2020 23:33

We’ve got you @StudentHelp so settle down and try to sleep flower! Smile

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 12/01/2020 23:43

Another one signing in to take some of those worries off. I’m snuggled in my nice comfy and cosy bed with my little furry shadow who will keep them all under control.

HannaYeah · 13/01/2020 03:00

I’m here too! I have the day off tomorrow and will be driving through the mountains. Worries sometimes get lost in the mountains and forget what they were about. I’ll suppose I will have to apologize if I take your worries with me on my trip and don’t return them.

StudentHelp · 13/01/2020 20:47

@NumbersStation
I did sleep a bit better in the end!
Hoping tonight is even better as last 2 exams are tomorrow

NumbersStation · 13/01/2020 21:11

Glad to hear it @StudentHelp

Hope all went well today and that tomorrow isn’t terribly difficult for you.

Should you wish, I’ve got your worries for this evening so you can get another decent sleep tonight.

All the best for tomorrow.

NumbersStation · 13/01/2020 21:12

💐 😊

StudentHelp · 13/01/2020 21:37

@NumbersStation
I think I did enough to pass that exam, but it was only worth a quarter of the module so the big ones are tomorrow!
Going to try and sleep soon and then do some last minute revision of parasites

Thanks for minding my worried yet again, think I owe a few people on this thread!

NumbersStation · 13/01/2020 21:48

I’m sure you’ll have done yourself proud and tomorrow will hopefully be the same.

Parasites? Lovely stuff! Wink

Sleep well flower Smile 😴

StudentHelp · 13/01/2020 22:09

@NumbersStation

The worst bits of my degree (veterinary)!
Off to bed now, thank you Star

NumbersStation · 13/01/2020 22:41

Night night 💐

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 13/01/2020 23:55

Hope you’re all settled down for the night and are sleeping peacefully. I’m wandering around collecting worries.
The rain is absolutely hammering down and the wind is trying to lift the velux windows out of their frames.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 13/01/2020 23:56

night night @studenthelp - do not dream of parasites!!!!

I'm full of beans (metaphorically only) and ready to shoulder any cares that have arisen. It is all go at my place of work, and the week(s) ahead will potentially provide me with some sleepless nights, but for now give me what you want. I shall finish up here and take them to a birthday dinner celebration for my baby (38 today - that IS a big number!!! It will be buffet, of course, in case your particular worries have special dietary requirements.

StudentHelp · 14/01/2020 06:35

I slept much better!
Still not my best night of sleep but I still got a solid 5 hours

NumbersStation · 14/01/2020 17:39

A solid five hours is pretty good in the circumstances! I hope all went well today flower.

You will probably zonk out with relief tonight. I know you will be back with your nose in the books on Thursday but you have a whole day for chilling Smile

MissMarple0203 · 15/01/2020 04:37

More work worries from me, would love to not have to wake up and feel that panicky dread feeling.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 15/01/2020 05:16

@MissMarple0203 I've got you. Let these worries slide on over my way. You just close your eyes and sleep. That's it. Shh now.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 15/01/2020 22:43

could someone please lift my load for a wee while? I'm completely struggling today. Didn't sleep at all last night; have cried all day at work and know tonight will be the same.

1st anniversary of losing my lovely mum and it is hitting really hard.

Sandysaurus · 15/01/2020 22:45

I'll mind them for you, 2018. They're in good hands, you rest now.

Sandysaurus · 15/01/2020 22:46

And I am so very sorry to hear about your mum.

plominoagain · 15/01/2020 23:25

2018, I'll take some weight too . I lost my dad just over a year ago and I still struggle with it - silly things that suddenly catch me on the hop mainly . So try and rest easy if you can , we've got these for tonight x
