I am 50% of the way through chemo. (second time around)(different primary)

My DS (18) has just been diagnosed with depression I think me being diagnosed again was the tipping point.

Due to above I am having to delegate Christmas, it will get done, it did before just not my way.

DH retiring in three years, should be more than enough to live on, but at the moment I am worrying (Like I couldn't worry about that closer to the time) Hmm

Sausage rolls, my job, ditto mince pies.........if they don't happen my DH and my DS will suck it up. Just me worrying.

DS struggling in college and have to go to a meeting on Wednesday

So if some of the night shift would like to come and mind my ,worries whilst I attempt to sleep, it would be gratefully received.

Feel free to add your own, just writing that down has helped.

Good evening all.
I’m here with my trusty sidekick to take care of any worries for as long as needed.
Here is the viscous worry tamer preparing for duty.

Gorgeous! Just gorgeous! Smile

Notsure94 · 09/01/2020 23:27

I'm awake and cleaning down 😀 chuck your busy thoughts to me. I'll pass them back in the morning when you've had some sleep.

NaomifromMilshake · 09/01/2020 23:31

I am awake and tomorrow is my day off, will be mooching around here for a bit, so send em over here.

I have my last session of poison chemo on Wednesday, I will feel well between now and then and then ten days of not feeling great, but it is the last session.

So point being, I will be around for the next few days to catch and mind worries and then I will do a fade again for a while.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 10/01/2020 01:48

@NaomifromMilshake when you need us we will hop on these worries, never fear. Hope all goes well!

I've beaten Thursday work to a pulp, and feel strong. I can wrestle anything you want me to this evening. Send then my way.

MissMarple0203 · 10/01/2020 04:46

I have been lurking on this lovely thread for a while now. I have woken up feeling anxious and worrying/catastrophising about stuff at work. The feeling of panick is quite overwhelming and at times i feel consumed by it.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 10/01/2020 05:46

@MissMarple0203 oh that's not good. Pass it over here. I'm about ready to get settled, and there's a lovely spot over here where I shall tuck your anxiety. You go rest. I've got this.

girlofthenorth · 10/01/2020 16:23

@MissMarple0203 I'll keep an eye of some of your work worries so you can forget about them, it's Friday , I'll shove them under a blanket under the sofa whilst I catch up on some missed festive TV. @NaomifromMilshake best of luck and will be here to help when you are feeling low .
I'm hoping someone can take a few of mine later as usual my health anxieties and worries about my daughter ,at least my DF has gone back to his own home now so I can stop worrying about him so much !!!

MissMarple0203 · 10/01/2020 16:54

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

bettybattenburg · 10/01/2020 17:19

I haven't got a job I really wanted so am worrying now about what next - I needed that job.
Can somebody look after it until it's wine o clock please?

NumbersStation · 10/01/2020 17:43

@bettybattenburg

I’ve got you flower. It is awful when your hopes are pinned on something but I’m a great believer in what my nana used to say - what is for ye won’t go by ye.

I’m sorry this job didn’t come to you but I am hoping above hope that something better comes along very soon.

Enjoy your wine 🍷 Flowers

NumbersStation · 10/01/2020 17:46

@girlofthenorth

If you are ok with me sitting on your troubles again, I’d be very happy to do so.

Good news about your DF though - here’s hoping his health continues to improve. I’ve got your other worries my lovely so you can chill and hopefully have a good sleep later too.

Have a restful evening flower 💐

NumbersStation · 10/01/2020 17:50

@NaomiFromMilkShake

The goddess of this thread. Smile

I’m hoping that poison does it’s trick and gets you well. X 💐

NumbersStation · 10/01/2020 17:51

Oops - does the trick Blush

girlofthenorth · 11/01/2020 00:30

Ah thanks numbers I'm going to leave them here now as need a bit of shut eye!
betty hope you got your wine

NumbersStation · 11/01/2020 00:35

All sorted flower. Consider them minded.

Sleep well. Night night 😴

namechange5575 · 11/01/2020 00:40

I've got a full capacity for minding any worries if anyone wants to park them with me. Friday and fairly stress free here so lots of mental space to keep them tidy and contained for a bit.

DramaAlpaca · 11/01/2020 00:44

Would someone be kind enough to take mine for the night, please? It's work related, I am so stressed at the moment and I am feeling totally overworked and overwhelmed. Thanks in advance lovely worry guardians.

NumbersStation · 11/01/2020 00:50

Sweet dreams @DramaAlpaca

Between me and @namechange5575
we have you covered.

Have a wonderful sleep flower. I hope you find a way to dream your problems away Flowers

StudentHelp · 11/01/2020 00:53

I’ve also been lurking on this thread a while and not had a decent amount of sleep for a few weeks - exams start on Monday Sad

namechange5575 · 11/01/2020 00:53

Yep I've got my share DramaAlpaca, all safe and sound here. Get some rest and relief x x

2018SoFarSoGreat · 11/01/2020 00:56

@StudentHelp you can go sleep tonight. I'll hold on to those exam worries for you. I shall nestle them gently so as not to stir them up.

Sleep well.

Sultanaofping · 11/01/2020 01:25

Hadn't found this thread before, it's spookily timely for me though. Found out today my lovely uncle has stage 4 cancer, they've given him 3 months. Having what I assume are the 'normal' range of emotions and thoughts, my poor aunty, my cousins who are adult but still too young to be facing losing their dad, how bloody unfair it is. And then there's my DM is who facing losing her brother and her last link with her childhood, I know she will need my support and I hope I'm up to the job. So yes, some overnight minding would be most appreciated, my head really needs to switch off now.

HannaYeah · 11/01/2020 01:32

@sultanaofping I’ve got it for you. Just rest.

Iamalltheyhavenow · 11/01/2020 01:41

@Sultanaofping Switch off now and get your head down. I am around for a while so will mind your worries till morning. Save you strength for those that will need it tomorrow. Much love xx
