I hope the literary TC will not object to being referred to as a thing.

I'm not an Attenborough fan, but how would he describe TC?

I'm thinking of the Goodies episide where they did 'Bellamy!!!!!!!'.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/05/2020 12:39

TC's been a bit quiet...
How is Mrs NDN?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/05/2020 13:34

Pleased to report that Mrs NDN is much improved thanks (although still very tired). Classic Covid-19 symptoms.

As for TC - he continues to turn up and make efforts to break in. A few photos enclosed from earlier today.

I am so pleased about Mrs NDN!

And TC is doing the toaster pose!

Supersimkin2 · 02/05/2020 13:56

Congrats to Mrs NDN. She will soon be able to resume light petcare duties, one hopes.

Those might not include lifting TC up. He is particularly magisterial at the moment. A lot of, er, charisma fills the room.

CassandraCross · 02/05/2020 14:22

That is very good news about Mrs NDN, I hope she knows that all of us here were sending good wishes her way.

Is that Sybil on guard duty? and how is the lampshade monster with the toilet brush tail, has he been able to show his war wounds to TC yet?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/05/2020 14:26

Wrong colour for Sybil :) I'm guessing Lenny?

CassandraCross · 02/05/2020 15:03

You're probably right Yet, I tried to enlarge/zoom in but was foiled!

nettie434 · 02/05/2020 15:28

Glad Mrs NDN is feeling better. Did anyone ever read books about Orlando the Marmalade Cat as a child? He had a wife and 3 children. TC looks a bit like Orlando.

It's actually Basil acting as sentry in the picture

In terms of the lampshade monster - the lampshade is but a distant memory and he's out and about as usual. Enclosed an unflattering picture of him yesterday about to leap over NDN's fence and into their garden.

Oh dear, poor lampshade monster that really is an abomination to his beautiful tail, I can only imagine the sniggering emanating from the majestic TC.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/05/2020 17:29

I don't believe TC is the only one sniggering.

You can add our other cats, any passing coots, moorhens, mallands & swans, NDN's dogs and chickens, and not to forget the parakeets that we can hear laughing at him. 😿

OP posts:
Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/05/2020 17:31

Or even mallards.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/05/2020 17:43

An apposite quote from 'A midsummer nights dream tail' perhaps?
'Wherefore was I to this keen mockery born?
When at your hands did I deserve this scorn?'

A pity those lines aren't spoken by Bottom Grin.

IMHO Karl bears the wounds of a life well lived with nobility.

PixiKitKat · 02/05/2020 20:47

Only clicked on this to make sure it's not my cat being talked about 😂😂
Mines a little turd and has jumped into people's windows before!

CassandraCross · 02/05/2020 20:54

Impressively appropriate Shakespearean quote GrumpyGrin

sweetkitty · 08/05/2020 18:49

I have just explained the Legend of Thug Cat to DD2 (14) she was in hysterics and totally gets it as we have 3 overlords of our own.

AnneKipanki · 08/05/2020 19:41

Have missed TC but have my NDN tabby irl. It prefers our garden.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 08/05/2020 20:33

TC was involved in a fight last night with the grey and white 'new cat on the block'.

They were fighting next to the river - and when TC arrived back home he was soaking wet so presumably had been for a swim. Lots of grey and white fur in NDN's garden this morning.

NDN texted me that TC 'has no fear and is keeping our cat gang safe' Grin.

Basil had a shouting match with the grey and white cat three nights ago and this cat (rather than a mink) is now chief suspect for Karl's poodle cut.

It's always the quiet bloke next door, isn't it.

Best love and further condolences to Karl and TC for a dry, swift recovery.

sweetkitty · 08/05/2020 21:35

Oh dear bad new cat!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 08/05/2020 21:45

We don't actually know where this cat lives yet but since he is clearly far from being a harmless necessary cat - we will find out!

OP posts:
AnneKipanki · 08/05/2020 21:55

Ooh Basta Cat !

Allergictoironing · 09/05/2020 08:34

Times like this it can actually be a GOOD thing having a thug living next door!

Next thing you know, TC and Sybil will be ganging up on the Gangsta Cat
