I hope the literary TC will not object to being referred to as a thing.

Lenny's FACE in the first pic! He is seriously not impressed (either that, or you've caught him yawning Grin).

BubblyWater · 23/04/2020 10:04

His belly! Oh his lovely belly! It was be worth losing a finger for it...

BubblyWater · 23/04/2020 10:04

*would even

So only Sybil has succumbed to TC's charms? Expect Karl is glad that he has got rid of the cone

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 23/04/2020 10:06

I'm afraid that was indeed a grumpy hiss from Lenny.

@nettie434

Karl's having his stitches out this afternoon - so still has the cone till then I'm afraid. Mind you he is so adept at removing it that I have to replace it about 20 times a day...

Poor TC. I really do feel for him. He's like the kid in the playground this was me that no one would play with. Maybe the uncool kid will snare the most popular gal and a fairytale will ensue? A cat version of Grease?

I am always impressed at just how much cats can do, despite the lack of opposable thumbs. Even though it’s much harder opening tins and pouches when you only have teeth and paws, to adapt the adage ‘why keep a dog and bark yourself’ (very poor taste on this board), ‘why keep a cat slave and open your own food?’ Hope everything goes smoothly this afternoon. I am glad Karl has recovered so well.

Anyoldspartacus I don’t know how TC manages the ‘poor little me’ look either when we have all seen his teeth and scary claws. It is quite a talent.

YetAnotherSpartacus - sorry about wrong name! Was doing from memory as your post was on the previous page.

Karl's technique is to roll over on his back, put his front legs (arms?) behind his head and push the collar off.
He's been restricted to one room at night and surprisingly keeps his collar on overnight.
DW theorises that he takes it off immediately we shut the door but has learned to put it back on just before we let him out if the room in the morning Grin.

He doesn't really mind wearing it, but he really can't bear being seen by the others as it's so un-cool. So he leaves it on overnight as not worth the effort, but removes it during the say so nobody else sees him in it.

Supersimkin2 · 24/04/2020 10:24

How did the stitches go Grumpy?

I bet TC was waiting for Karl with lucozade and this week's edition of Your Cat.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 24/04/2020 16:00

Stitches removed and Karl is very happy to be going out again. I'm not aware of him being laughed at by his furry chums (but I suspect he is).

TC is asleep on our patio as usual. I was very impressed that he's using his tail to cover his modesty - he hadn't been 30 seconds earlier Shock.

And now he's made himself even more comfortable. 3 of ours are asleep at the other end of the patio at the moment.

NDN sent me this yesterday to try to prove that TC does actually spend some time in their garden rather than ours Grin.

Dog on the floor, two seater sofa for one cat 😂

BovaryX · 24/04/2020 17:13

The Thane of Cawdor looks resplendent reclined on his garden furniture. A rare sight of stripy adherence to the Stay at Home exhortations!

Supersimkin2 · 24/04/2020 18:04

Thane on throne Grin he looks vairy, vairy happy. And not at all thoughtful, which must come as a relief.

CassandraCross · 24/04/2020 18:29

That throne needs the addition of sumptuous cushions for the Thane.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 26/04/2020 12:48

TC is currently relaxing under DW Shock.

Want2beme · 26/04/2020 17:06

He belongs in a wildlife documentary 🦁Grin

Supersimkin2 · 26/04/2020 19:25
Grin
CassandraCross · 26/04/2020 20:25

No, no, no Want2beme he belongs on a throne alongside his Queen, Sybil, in the Grumpy Mansion with his underlings being suitably obsequious.
