Could TC be pinching mice from the snake ?
I have no idea what corn snakes eat .

Well I think this interesting insight might solve the question of why the mice corpses have been disappearing from our front porch .

The snake should only fancy a mouse about once a week.

Maybe a faster vanishing rate explains why he's a little oversized. And why TC needs a safe, loving home. How can he relax when the snake's after his tucker?

And what happens to TC if the mice run out?

PS My cousin was sold his python by that bloody man at Crouch End who the council had to shut down. Luckily Snaky had the nature of an angel, even at 6m long.

NDN has quite a menagerie then Grumpy. Apart from TC (the apex of their pet pyramid), there are the 3 dogs, the corn snake and some fish. (you posted that marvellous photo of TC spread over the tank). No wonder your house is Cat Nirvana.

TC looked over the garden fence this morning saw Basil and then went back into his own garden.

Basil has now been staring at NDN's fence for the last 10 minutes.

Basil is sending a strong message.

We've been sitting in the garden this morning. While TC has been asleep on our boat, Basil, Karl and Sybil have all been in and out of his garden - could this be the start of a counter-attack?

I always thought basil and Sybil were fawlty towers themed and Karl and Lenny had massive socialists as fosterers.

Basil and 'Bluebell' were their Battersea names, the whole litter had plant names.
Sybil somehow seemed a far better match for Basil because of both connections.
The "kittens'" litter mates were also named after Simpsons's characters - but I much prefer your theory .
