I hope the literary TC will not object to being referred to as a thing.

Sliding Doors: the action sequel...

TheLongRider · 06/03/2020 19:12

For some reason I think that TC would sound like Ray Winstone in a particularly menacing role.

Supersimkin2 · 06/03/2020 22:23

It's not a romance, is it. Or maybe, in an alternative universe, Sybil might fall for those gorgeous paws...

Want2beme · 06/03/2020 23:50

Does TC go home to bed at night or does he keep surveillance in your garden? I hope he has a lovely warm bed to go home toSmile

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/03/2020 09:28

Want2beme TC can in theory get in and out of his house at night via a bedroom window.

TC was in fine form last night. About 11.00 last night DW opened the front door to see if Karl wanted in and instead TC was there. She then went to close the door but TC was pushing against it trying to get in. Comedy moment with DW holding the door and it being visibly pushed from outside. There was then a stand off because we (obviously) didn't want to trap TC's paw in the door. After a few minutes we had to open the door and stop him from getting in by holding a foot out so we could shift him away.
Finally managed to deter him amid much hissing and attacking.

Karl meanwhile had been asleep on DS2's bed.

TV's travails seem so tragic. Is he out in the cold all night because he can't get home? Or is he just a midnight marauder by choice? TC and his thwarted attempt to get into feline Nirvana next door. This should be made into an illustrated book....

BovaryX · 12/03/2020 10:31

TC damn auto correct.....

HowDoesTheCow · 12/03/2020 11:02

so we could shift him away

The old nudging with the foot scenario. One most used to get our cats out of the door rather than discouraging other cats from coming in. Who was he attacking?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/03/2020 11:30

I was imagining Grumpy and Grumpy's DW doing the hissing and attacking and poor woebegone TC just sitting there looking all maudlin.

HowDoesTheCow · 12/03/2020 12:22

But why don't you love me? And why can't I come in? Why are you hissing at me? Please don't kick me again!

JKScot4 · 12/03/2020 13:16

What’s the worst that could happen if you let the little innocent love bug in? 😇😺

Supersimkin2 · 12/03/2020 14:35

I would let TC in like a shot. Lovely and warm on the bed.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/03/2020 15:21

I would like to confirm that all hissing was from the thug. Neither Mrs. Grumpy nor I make a habit of hissing. Grin

As to "What’s the worst that could happen if you let the little innocent love bug in?" My immediate thoughts are...
Sybil needing therapy?
Human residents of the Grumpy household getting shredded limbs?
Uncontrollable cat wars?
Armageddon?

I hope this doesn’t come across the wrong way Grumpy but I think of your situation as being like a bit like the Three Little Pigs, with the Big Bad Wolf outside trying to come in. In some versions the wolf starts out being friendly, saying they can all have a lovely time living together. TC is a handsome beast but you can definitely see the leopard cat genes in him.

You calling me fat? Grin

Talking of fat though - TC is on our water butt this morning. I went to stroke his head which he was agreeable to for a couple of strokes, but then tried to bite me.

What a rotund cutie 😻

HowDoesTheCow · 13/03/2020 09:43

And we have gone full circle. The original thread started with-

GP: There's this cat in my house
Us: End it with water
GP: Look at it
Us: That's a nice cat, we would let it in
GP: Look at the blood
Us: Still, he's cute
GP: Look at the teeth
Us: What lovely teeth!
GP: He tried to kill me
Us: So, he's adorable
GP: He's breaking the door down
Us: So let him in

TheLongRider · 13/03/2020 09:53

TC looks as if he could survive the pandemic on body fat alone. That and the bodies of his enemies.

AnneKipanki · 13/03/2020 09:59

He always has a paw at the ready shake shred your hand.

Ha! Unflattering photo more like. Poor TC.

Grin TC looking as dangerously glamorous as ever.....

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/03/2020 10:21

TC has now moved to the front of the house and is sitting happily on the door step.

Unfortunately Karl then turned up.

Wow look how far back Karl's ears are flattened! Distinctly unimpressed!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/03/2020 12:06

Back home after a couple of hours.
Same cats still on the doorstep - but at least they seem to be coexisting peacefully now.

You calling me fat?

Definitely not Grumpy! A metaphorical comparison only.
