So NC for this as not sure if neighbours are on here.

I am off today & woke up to the sound of doors banging and loud voices.

Have a glance out of bedroom window & there are 2 vans & a land rover parked on my ACTUAL drive!

Now I guess it's easily mistaken as a public car park Hmmso don't say anything immediately but once I'm up and toddler is dressed I go downstairs to see.

My next door neighbours are away on holiday. But of a weird driveway as their house has its own but it's round the back of ours and ours is at front so if you use sat nav it brings you to ours as their house is other side of our driveway ifyswim.

Diagram to show you what I mean.

Anyway they are unloading tools etc onto big sheets on my drive and walking over grass to neighbours

I said to them it was a private drive and could they move onto neighbours and they said they won't be long Angry

I was too shocked to say much more than 'no please move now'

Grrrrrrr!

Make it really obvious that you’re photographing their van and when they ask what you’re doing, tell them that you’re putting it on a few Facebook sites, such as ‘parking like a cunt’, with a message telling people that they are refusing to move if your property. I’m sure they’ll be glad of the publicity. Also check if they’re one man bands or part of a chain. If part of a chain, then phone their head office.

ineedaholidaynow · 07/08/2019 12:27

Why can I only see the first diagram?

MotherofTerriers · 07/08/2019 12:28

Yes, if you can identify their company phone them and complain
You asked them to move over 2 hours ago, they do not have your permission to be on your drive

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 07/08/2019 12:29

can you remove some of their tools to outside the gates, a good few metres down, then when CFs go to get them back, lock the gates behind them and hold their van hostage tell them you're sure you can find the key and 'it won't be long'.

YouJustDoYou · 07/08/2019 12:29

My friend's dad regularly had the local school mums help themselves to his driveway - just park on it, then when he asked them what the hell they thought they were doing they would snap "oh I won't be long!". So he used to block them in with his work van, and when they knocked and asked him to move he'd say, "sorry, can't! I've been drinking!" and slam the door in their face. He once made a woman leave her car for four days.

User02 · 07/08/2019 12:30

Heavens, I could have written your OP!
Banging at an early time and then for the third day since Saturday a lorry parked over the driveway.
What is wrong with people that they dont know not to cause any blockages when they park?
NRFT but going to now to see if there is a cure for this.

GoGoGoGoGo · 07/08/2019 12:32

(I also can’t see any further diagrams).

lovesapinot · 07/08/2019 12:34

OK so I may have just been out and picked up some tools and thrown them onto next doors lawn. Where they bloody should be. I'm so freaking angry now.

He's nowhere to be seen - assume he's in the house.

I'm calling number on van now.

Phone police and tell them the situation, and you are scared

nettie434 · 07/08/2019 12:37

I’m heartbroken I can’t see the new diagrams either.

(Also have a heart stamp and a spaceship one but couldn't find a reason to use on diagram)

Shame you can’t find the spaceship stamp - you could have done a picture of you telling them that they could park their van on the moon for all you cared, as long as it was not on your driveway.

Can you draw a big cross through the heart stamp to show your feelings towards them?

Amazed they were so rude.

MrsKittyFane1 · 07/08/2019 12:38

Have you blocked them in on your drive with gate and car?
If so, when they ask you to move, tell them you'll 'only' be 15 mins (and go inside for a nap).
In the meantime, place their tools and blanket on the correct lawn/drive.

nettie434 · 07/08/2019 12:38

Oh sorry - just seen update. My post looks really off now. They are really unacceptable - hope you get to speak to someone sensible

dimdarkashian · 07/08/2019 12:41

Wow. All you're actually doing is acting like a mad woman and that's exactly what he'll be thinking. Reversing over his tools to block him in...hahhaa

ohfourfoxache · 07/08/2019 12:48

How fucking cheeky can you get???

I’m shocked they haven’t moved yet

Lipz · 07/08/2019 12:49

Just go out locking your gates and don't come back until well in the evening when they should be finished. If they see you throwing tools they'll just be pissing themselves laughing.

boomshakalak · 07/08/2019 12:50

I would make myself and him a cup of tea and tell him it's fine for him to park on my driveway as long as I'm not using it.

Life is so much easier when we learn to let the little things go...

DerelictWreck · 07/08/2019 12:51

Phone police and tell them the situation, and you are scared

Jesus don't do that Hmm

BouleBaker · 07/08/2019 12:51

What a cheeky bastard! Move all his damn stuff off of your drive and tell him you’ll be charging for parking shortly. Sod.

Wilderr · 07/08/2019 12:52

I can only see the first diagram too. Which is excellent by the way

DontBeOffensive · 07/08/2019 12:52

OP put the tools in your house not next doors lawn. They are on your property they are now yours. Until he knocks to ask for them back. Then explain you saw someone run off with them sorry!

GiveMeAllTheGin8 · 07/08/2019 12:54

I can only see first diagram, where did you buy the stamping kit?

Pinkywoo · 07/08/2019 12:54

Diagrams for those that can't see them, I wouldn't want you to miss out!
