So NC for this as not sure if neighbours are on here.

I am off today & woke up to the sound of doors banging and loud voices.

Have a glance out of bedroom window & there are 2 vans & a land rover parked on my ACTUAL drive!

Now I guess it's easily mistaken as a public car park Hmmso don't say anything immediately but once I'm up and toddler is dressed I go downstairs to see.

My next door neighbours are away on holiday. But of a weird driveway as their house has its own but it's round the back of ours and ours is at front so if you use sat nav it brings you to ours as their house is other side of our driveway ifyswim.

Diagram to show you what I mean.

Anyway they are unloading tools etc onto big sheets on my drive and walking over grass to neighbours

I said to them it was a private drive and could they move onto neighbours and they said they won't be long Angry

I was too shocked to say much more than 'no please move now'

Grrrrrrr!

Yes the pics on FB are fully of the name of company - CP PLASTERING. The other two vans drive off I assume to park round other end if street. Where they all should be!

Just spoke to hubby and whilst he's against it and thinks I'm being petty Angry he will meet me by the big park so DS can play for a bit and then I'll work on getting him in pub for a drink too.

Neighbour says he's still there sitting in van!!!

You really aren't. These people need to understand that they don't have the right to inconvenience others and when you ask them to move, they move. I live at the end of a cul de sac and have had delivery drivers double park and block the road when I've tried to get in or out and not wanted to move though I think I have a "don't mess with me" face because despite doing it very very slowly, they have shifted their bottoms eventually. I guess they have somewhere else to be, unlike your culprit.

WoodsNTrees · 07/08/2019 18:37

Please go to the pub.

What a CF arsehole.

Nquartz · 07/08/2019 18:37

Sigh, what a fab thread.

Should we start a book on the time he gives up & calls someone to come to pick him up?!

wibbletooth · 07/08/2019 18:39

Can't believe that even when you pointed out that you were off to work a night shift he didn't move it - guessing he thought you were joking because that's the sort of thing he would say if he wanted to get someone to move in this situation, rather than realising that you were telling the truth...

Have you got pictures of the gates and your car before you left to show that they were in perfect condition in case he tries to damage them to get out? If not, is your friendly neighbour able to oblige? So glad there's going to be double parking out side the gate too.

If his company calls back or if he calls back, you can just point out that as he knew you were going to work a night shift and made no attempt to move the van, he was obviously OK with it and that should there be any damage to your car or property you will be incredibly cross and expect it to be put right. And that you take no liability for the van while it is parked there.

MamaOfBothTeams · 07/08/2019 18:40

I love that your neighbours are willing to help Grin

The cheek of them, finally ringing you when he wanted to get out!

What a nerve.

Maybe he'll think twice before taking the piss again!

ChicCroissant · 07/08/2019 18:43

Don't go back yourself OP, send your DH to give him an earful and let him out.

flumpybear · 07/08/2019 18:43

Wow! ... oh you need to give your DH access to your account so he can keep us posted!! 😆

Scarydinosaurs · 07/08/2019 18:44

What an arrogant sod! His own fault for being so stubborn about moving.

Wonkydonkey44 · 07/08/2019 18:44

Can’t believe the cheek of people ! Well done Flowers

RosaWaiting · 07/08/2019 18:45

To quote Macklemore, this is fucking awesome.

SellMyHouse4me · 07/08/2019 18:45

Loving this thread

ShatnersWig · 07/08/2019 18:46

CF Plastering surely, not CP Plastering? Lol

Pinkywoo · 07/08/2019 18:46

Ooh I love that you've gone out (I've been for a nap too) but do not let your husband give in! My DH is as stubborn as me and slightly more petty and has just said that he would go on holiday just to piss the bloke off more!

Blatherskite · 07/08/2019 18:46

You are a hero! He'll (hopefully) think twice about parking on someone's drive after being asked to move again.

SheStoodInTheStorm · 07/08/2019 18:46

OP I am so in awe of you!
