Live CF parking thread (with diagram!)

So NC for this as not sure if neighbours are on here.

I am off today & woke up to the sound of doors banging and loud voices.

Have a glance out of bedroom window & there are 2 vans & a land rover parked on my ACTUAL drive!

Now I guess it's easily mistaken as a public car park so don't say anything immediately but once I'm up and toddler is dressed I go downstairs to see.

My next door neighbours are away on holiday. But of a weird driveway as their house has its own but it's round the back of ours and ours is at front so if you use sat nav it brings you to ours as their house is other side of our driveway ifyswim.

Anyway they are unloading tools etc onto big sheets on my drive and walking over grass to neighbours

I said to them it was a private drive and could they move onto neighbours and they said they won't be long

I was too shocked to say much more than 'no please move now'

You are brilliant. Although actually I think you should ring back and say that your DH will be home "in a minute" and make him hand around and wait for at least another hour. Otherwise he might decide you really are out all night, get a cab home and you will be stuck with the van on your drive tomorrow as well.

I can imagine the Facebook drama, its like curtain twitchers united on my local facebook page. Hopefully it will lose the company a good bit of business as a consequence of his behaviour. There's a local tradesman near me who I have vowed never to use because I've seen his van parked twattishly many times on the school run, on the zig zags or blocking people's drives. He seems to think he can do whatever he wants. Not a smart move when your name is in big orange letters on the side of the van.

So is this the oven cleaning can or the plastering van?

Well even if you did go home and unlock the gate, as some total stranger from the local Faceache who is doing you a favour has parked across the entrance, he still wouldn't be able to get out.

Pretty sure OP's home/car insurance is based on her gate being locked overnight, and as such she can't unlock it. 😈

What a cheeky fucker!! This would piss me off so much, id be tempted to book a hotel room for the night, dh could go to work from the hotel & get a late check out so i could be away as long as possible

Then id go window shopping for a couple of hours after checking out, take dc to the park, then get dh to meet me straight from work and go for dinner somewhere and be as late back as possible, I couldn't actually afford to do this, but id be so angry id want to 😂

Please unlock the gate with a flourish... to reveal Facebook cars blocking the driveway. Cue innocent "well I have unlocked the gate now. But isn't it so annoying when cf park where they shouldn't, how unlucky for you, it appears more cf have blocked the exit from my driveway. I guess it's just not my day. Don't worry though, they said they'd be done in a bit love."
