Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

Whoah - that looks suspiciously like A Truce ..............?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/09/2019 12:04

An uneasy truce ... they are back to back and I am sure that neither is fully relaxed, but it's a step in the right direction.

TheLongRider · 16/09/2019 12:45

TC should be hired by Brexit negotiators. He has managed to come to an agreement with the stand-offish Sybil since April. No red lines have been broken yet and your neighbours are his back stop.

He'd be perfect.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/09/2019 12:46

Ears are pricked, neither is relaxed.

I've just discovered this thread and I love it! Following for updates.

At my old house there was a local boy who adopted us. My two accepted him but it ruined the relationship between them. My boy bonded with the newcomer and my girl took the huff. Such a shame. We became friends with the owner of our visitor and discovered his name was Sausage! He was a sweetie. Lived with us officially for about six months when neighbour moved and couldn't take him at first (complicated situation)

Fast forward a couple of years to now. New house. Girl cat unfortunately no longer with us 😢 Now have my boy cat and a boy kitten. We have our own visiting thug cat! I'm glad he has a bell on his collar do I can hear when he sneaks in for food. Not friendly with us or the cats, he hisses and swipes and blocks my boys from getting into their own house. I'll see if I can find a photo. He's very handsome with a big bushy tail.

Hmmm I can't find him, but see my gorgeous two boys.

NDN has forwarded the attached picture of TC to keep his fans happy.

Coastergirl glad I'm not the only person with a TC

TheLongRider Sybil? Stand-offish? How very dare you. Grin

Just heard a kerfuffle (should that be kerfluffle?) outside. Opened the door to see TC terrorising Karl.

So much for successful Brexit negotiations...

Is it just me or does TC seem to change colour regularly?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/09/2019 13:12

You don't mean?

There could be two of him??
Shock

He definitely looks much lighter in bright sunlight. It's all a bit shady at the front of the house this morning.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/09/2019 09:43

Actually, I was wondering if he had colour changing superpowers. He also seems bigger when he is at your house.

Nonstopbuttmachine · 21/09/2019 12:26

That middle photo of TC 🙀🙀🙀

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 25/09/2019 18:00

The photo of him barrelling up our steps chasing Karl does contrast somewhat with him being all cute in his own house this morning in his cat tower.

I missed this! The one with his paws over his eyes is gorgeous. Is he staying home more now?

Mia184 · 26/09/2019 20:23

Oh, there he is! I missed him.
He is probably friendlier at home because they feed him. Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 26/09/2019 22:13

Don't worry - TC is still around here most of the time. I just happened upon him in NDN's house. (I stroked him until he bit me - it didn't take him long Grin).

DW took this photo today of him on one of our chairs - TC has clearly been overdoing it to fall asleep in such a daft position.

DW has expressed some concern that she is now taking photos of him as well.

Oh TC! What a ridiculous boy! And such a poser - even in his sleep.

Nonstopbuttmachine · 27/09/2019 16:39

I'm v concerned now that it's getting colder and TC has his fancy tower, we won't see so much of him? 😿

CassandraCross · 27/09/2019 21:08

He looks like he's waiting to be guillotined in that last pictureShock.

AnneKipanki · 27/09/2019 22:22

Oh Cassandra Shock

AnneKipanki · 27/09/2019 22:22

My TC . My pin up !!!!

Quick, someone photoshop Sybil in there with an axe Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 01/10/2019 09:26

It's true. TC is officially useless.

NDN has discovered evidence of mice in the pantry (dry food bags nibbled open, droppings etc). He asked if he could borrow our kittens.

Now if only NDN had a proper cat Grin

Grambler · 01/10/2019 09:52

He's been too busy hanging around yours to keep an eye on his own house.

Did you see this? www.thesun.co.uk/news/10031277/monster-supercat-on-the-loose/

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/10/2019 10:02

TC is a lover not a fighter. :)

And if the cat in the story 'utterly destroyed the toy horse' why the horse looking remarkably pristine in the after photos?
