Tomorrow Princess Juliet will be marrying Mr Peregrine Banksbrook. The ceremony will take place at Ruggington Cathedral because let's face it we don't have any other Playmobil churches and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Ruggington, assisted by the Dean of Lowbeach-on-Sea, with an address given by the Bishop of Highbath, the Right Reverend Balthazar Browne.

The ceremony will be followed by a carriage procession, and a reception in the grounds of Roundwood palace.

In Ruggington, the streets are being cleaned ready for tomorrow.

Well done somuch.Really enjoyed this.

SoMuchToBits · 15/10/2018 22:35

Professionally, we could possibly think about some Christmas celebrations. Maybe the Royal Family going to church at Christmas? Or a nativity scene?

I am sure that a lot happens there over Christmas- a school fair, Christmas Market, ice skating, Carol service, WI produce and craft competition, Santa's grotto, few pot holes to mend, maybe the ferry is in dry dock for the winter refit. Then of course there are the people who have drunk a little too much at the Christmas Works do...

Seems a shame that all that goes on undocumented in your loft.

I'm totally in love with little Clemantine! I hope she's safely and snugly put away with her mum, she's much too young to be aloneSad

Hey I so loved those dappled grey horses, hadn't seen them before. In bed last night just drifting off to sleep I was trying to remember that nursery rhyme-I had a little pony, his name was dapple(d?) grey, couldn't remember any more so I actually got out of bed, went into the study and googled the rest.Barmy!Grin

AviatorShades · 16/10/2018 00:33

Royal family going to church would be great! and I'm sure in one of the naves there will be a nativity sceneSmile
You up for it, Bits ?

PhilomenaButterfly · 16/10/2018 04:05

There are soft drinks for the children, but I'd keep an eye on the little ones, sneaking a sip of Blue Nun. And aunts getting them drunk on purpose...

Hang on, that might just be my family.

SoMuchToBits · 16/10/2018 07:55

I do have various Christmas sets, including a Christmas market, so that might be a possibility. I just need to find the time! It's such a busy time of year...

I got the dapple grey horses in May, just in time for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Waterbury. They were part of the set containing the carriage for the King and Queen. It was a new set out in Germany only released at the beginning of May and not available in the UK yet, but I managed to get one from a German seller on Amazon.

Love the extended partying. Did we throw the bouquet, is there a maiden sister lined up to be next? Meanwhile there is a birth, Brexit ... To look forward to!

SoMuchToBits · 16/10/2018 08:52

LIZS, the partying hasn't finished yet! I'll post the last few photos this evening, so you'll have to wait and see about the bouquet...

There will be no Plexit for the Playmo people by the way - they voted Remain in their referendum! Grin

a new set out in Germany begs the question, wonder if there's a Japanese set depicting a tea drinking ceremony, you know, all those men sitting around being served by kimono'd ladies? Interesting!
We had a splendid set in Italy when DS was little - knaves carousing round a trestle table drinking out of silver goblets and eating whole chickens was a particular favourite of mine. I love a good banquetGrin
DH made a wooden castle with a drawbridge so they could fight on the battlements...
Addictive stuff,Playmobil.

SoMuchToBits · 16/10/2018 09:36

No Japanese tea sets as far as I'm aware, but I do have a kimonoed lady (from one of the Fi?ures series) who was a foreign head of state at the Waterburys' wedding.

Thank you Bits. If anyone ever asked me why I use MN this thread (and your others) would be right up there.

SoMuchToBits · 16/10/2018 21:44

Anuja and Emilia are wondering just who are these shady characters who keep turning up at weddings???

Princess Juliet throws her bouquet - but who will catch it?

I fully expect to see a feature on this in some of the high end magazines. 10/10 pure joy. Thanks SoMuchToBits

SoMuchToBits · 16/10/2018 21:56

Yawnsy, I haven't been contacted by any magazines (high-end or otherwise) yet!

But yes, we will be saving the Playmobil people (even though we aren't gods). And thank you for your kind comments!

You are more than welcome, handsoff! We aim to please in our slightly mad Playmo-loving household. Smile

Sadly, I think that's it for the Playmobil Royal Wedding photos this time. Thank you all for watching, and for your comments, which have been much appreciated!

Norman the Foreman sends you all his love, and the Playmoland Royal Family have asked me to thank you for sharing their happy event.

I'll be back with any future Playmo events when I can.

SoMuch xx

Thank you Bits! These threads are always amazing, the work you put in in incredible- right down to the little flags and bunting.

Wishing the happy couple a long and happy life together!

Also secretly hoping there's a mystery in the works with the two shadowy strangers...?

SoMuchToBits · 16/10/2018 22:47

Thank you, Pots!

I wouldn't worry about the shady characters too much. They are "hardened recidivists" Ian Ice-cream Head and Colin Custard Head, who have somehow managed to get in to two Royal Weddings! But fear not, they still have a smile on their faces and are not really dangerous, just look a bit, well, shady...

SoMuchToBits · 16/10/2018 23:33

You are so welcome, Aviator! It has been a pleasure creating the scenes, although a lot of work at times! But the Playmo people have kept smiling through everything! Smile
