To clap my hands and skip about in a elephantine manner?

I'm going to be a grandfather! Woo hoo! They haven't tuppence to rub together, so there'll be 3 generations under one roof. Still, DD is doing well after the throwing stopped, he's working all the hours God sends, and with luck I shall see New Person into their teens, as opposed to my DF who got less than 7 years of DGF hood. Wish us luck.

Wearing Mummy's Clever Hat, and looking confused because I've woken up.

Fourteen months. Being sensible during Storm Callum, while the grown ups played with chainsaws, picks and drills.

Back to normal. So many things to fall into! The TV, the China cabinet, the fireplace, or the old favourite, the hard floor faceplant.

This is a lovely thread. What a lucky little boy to have such a wonderful loving family Smile

Hmm. Behavioural advice needed. When reproved, should someone this young be claiming "Daddy lets me" when he's caught doing something untoward. Still, he's pretty entertaining otherwise, although he can get quite stroppy if dinner's late.

I think the appropriate answer is "does he really? Let's check with Daddy shall we!" Although impressed he's trying to play you off against others already 😁

Oh, he tells DSIL "Mummy lets me" Grin. I'm pretty sure there is nowhere in the multiverse where climbing on top of the fireguard or into the washing machine is permitted.

I am loving these updates, what a gorgeous little boy!

April2020mom · 31/10/2018 20:59

So cute. He’s growing up so fast. What is his name?

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 01/11/2018 14:21

The former King of Spain, but t'other way round.

Awwww.

I love it when their hair goes all 'powder puffy'. 😍

I love your updates.

Three sleeps, and hopefully we'll see him in person, as long as we get there before he goes to bed. The movers are packing us on Thursday, van into secure parking, we leave once it's clean, they follow us up in the morning. Meanwhile, video calling today featured a naked tricyclist shouting about chocolate.

Three sleeps! I'm so excited for you all.

I love this thread. As a grandma to a 2 year old, it has made me smile seeing someone else who is as overwhelmed with love as I am. Just come back from 5 days with the little monkey and very sad that I won't see him now until next year. Looks like Christmas has come early for the Disgraces - enjoy every precious second.

DGS at Alnwick Lantern Parade with his very own glowstick. He deserved one, he'd been sweeping our floor* all afternoon. Looking at the lights of Amble harbour reflected in the Coquet, and listening to the squeaks from the back seat: we made the right choice.

*Not very well, but when the broom's twice your height...

We pointed at the hearthstone and told him not to step on it. He extended a careful hand, said "Oooh" and that was that. As predicted, he would very much like to play with the kitchen light control, but he's not getting it.
