to think this is a perfectly good sized lunch?

For my 15 and 16 year old sons?
(If not a very healthy one but that's not my question Grin)

Ham and cheese salad sandwich, a frube and a wafer bar.

I am doing the next 2 weeks packed lunches for the freezer and this is being hotly contested in my house right now Grin

This Fucking Bastard Twatting Thread is conclusive proof that, for some, the internet is a Write-Only medium.

Wellwellwell3holesintheground · 17/06/2015 12:41

And still the thread keeps on giving. I must admit to being tempted to bump it occasionally so I could have a laugh at unwitting new posters.

TheseSoles · 17/06/2015 13:26

Fenella - you are awesome!

Venus, it is a gluten free roll.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 17/06/2015 16:18

op it may well be a gluten free roll but surely the burning question is why are you making their lunches, can't they do it themselves?

I didn't bother to read the thread because I am so bloody intelligent and I doubt that in 300 odd posts anyone has mentioned that.

I bet you hadn't though Of it either had you?

BitOutOfPractice · 17/06/2015 16:19

Good point tantrums. Good point well made.

flessan · 17/06/2015 16:38

Fenella - I think I love you.

I agree that GF pasta is disgusting. Slim Pasta is far nicer, and has the added benefit for your son of being 0 calories. I've also been having success with peeling and spiralling courgettes for me instead of spaghetti, and mixing them with real spaghetti (kids aren't GF free) for the kids. Smother them in enough sauce and they don't notice they are eating a vegetable (Though I'd hate to induce another meltdown)

I have enjoyed this thread and would recommend to a friend Smile

And still the thread gives...and gives...and gives... Grin

Fenella, I bow before you - your patience with the non-RTBTFT-posters knows no bounds Flowers

I can't believe that you are still answering their stupidity with politeness; please tell us that you will start an online tutorial in how to deal with people in everyday life who have obviously not RTBTF Manual For Dealing With Others Politely (RTBTFMFDWOP to those enrolled on your course) Wink

CainInThePunting · 22/06/2015 14:57

Op I've been thinking about pre-preparing and freezing chopped salad for lunches (would be one less faffing thing to deal with in the morning) but wasn't sure if it would be ok after defrosting. Thank you for clearing that up.

Oh and for what it's worth, I think that's a perfectly adequate portion size.
Grin

momb · 22/06/2015 15:59

Cannot believe this is still going. Fenella I think I love you a little bit; surely the nicest most patient OP ever, and still maintaining a sense of humour.

Heathcliff27 · 22/06/2015 16:27

I have just happened upon this and yes I have RTFT. Perfectly adequate for them, am sure they'll tell you otherwise. I was pleasantly surprised to see my name mentioned about 5 pages ago. Please though, stop making me laugh so much, i'm getting over surgery and think i might have burst a few stitches Confused

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 22/06/2015 18:49

Just RTTBFT, howling with laughter. Fenella, in the words of Chorlton and the Wheelies, you are one magnificent Little Old Lady!

CheeseandPickledOnion · 24/06/2015 13:33

I have loved this thread and love Fenella.

Jen1610 · 24/06/2015 20:39

It looks alright although I'd imagine two rolls would be better. By the way why are they getting wheat free biscuits and a big white roll? Secondly I'd get them to take it in turns making the rolls for each other so they can have a night off each and you can have every night off. They are old enough!

Just kidding! Brilliant thread haha

thatsthewayitgoes · 24/06/2015 20:51

As a dietitian who has worked with kids with special needs I have to say I LOVE this thread. Will never look at a sandwich in the same light again????

Ooh I hated Slim Pasta, it was like overcooked calamari. I just tried the rice though and that's great! I'm not GF, just looking for low carb as I'm diabetic.

steppemum · 26/06/2015 12:47

Can't believe this thread is still here!

frangipani13 · 26/06/2015 15:00

Ohhh some of the ppl who've posted on here are really boiling my piss.
Why the buggery bollocks would you post without reading it in full? Are people really so stupid/narrow minded to think their shitty point of view hasn't been made in one of the 15 million previous posts?
Ok, rant over.
I also want to marry you Fenella. You are a formidable woman.
