Can it really be five years since the tea-drinking party, led by NormanTheForeman swept to victory in the last general election? Oh yes it can! And today the plastic people are off to the polling stations again.

This year's parties standing for election are as follows:-

Tea-drinking party (leader NormanTheForeman)

Lifesaving party (leader KylieTheLifeguard)

Law and Order party (leader MichaelTheBeachPoliceman)

Military party (leader Sir Ospringe Bapchild)

Legalise Robbery party (leader Jack Jellyhead)

PlaymoLand Independence party (PLIP) (leader Nigel Garage)

Here's a photo of all the party leaders.

I'll be back shortly to tell you a little about each party's main policies.

Polls are open now and will close at 10 pm.

Cast your vote here! Grin

Kylie gets my vote. but would be happy if Norm got back in as well.

DearPrudence · 07/05/2015 17:16

I'll vote for Kylie. I'd like to see a woman win an election in shorts and bare feet.

Sorry Norm.

GreenShadow · 07/05/2015 17:37

Hi SoMuch. Haven't seen you round here so much (geddit?) recently.

I'll have to vote for Kylie as First Aid/Life Saving skills in schools is something I'm really keen on and am always amazed at how little of it is taught. (Having said that I'm also a tea addict, but for once that will have to take second place).

Good luck to all the candidates (apart from jack)

SpiritOfTheRitz · 07/05/2015 17:38

Aintnothingbutagstring there's a brand new Playmobil waterpark planned with big flumes and tyres to replace the Dolphin swimming pool, and the even older swimming pool (which also has a dreadful shower) and is in serious need of renovation.

here and here.

PacificDogwood · 07/05/2015 17:40

SoMuch, will you be having to count the vote when polling stations close?
When can we expect first results?
Has the press been invited??

Oh, this all getting a bit tense now, isn't it?

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 17:41

Hi Green, not been on here much lately, life's been a bit busy! But thought we should make an appearance for the election.

Yes, will have to count the votes when polling finishes.

I'm sure we can rustle up some press from somewhere...

After considering this all day I think I'm going to have to vote for Norman, the tea narrowly beats Kyle.

However surely we should have some form of proportional representation?

DrDiva · 07/05/2015 17:46

Then it's the TDP for me.

Although having cake as part of one's manifesto smacks suspiciously of bribery. Unless it's coffee and walnut, in case all is forgiven.

chairmeoh · 07/05/2015 17:49

Looking again at the the ballot, I'm sensing a bias towards Norm. How come he gets to top the ballot, surely it should be alphabetical?

Does Russell Brand have a view?

Is this election being covered by Andy from CBeebies, or John Craven off Newsround?

Kylie, because Women are Better (blatantly sexist). Although a coalition between the TeaDrinkers and the Robbery party is a tempting alternative.

MsYamada · 07/05/2015 17:57

Norm. No question.Brew

cashewnutty · 07/05/2015 18:02

I was going to vote for Kylie but on closer inspection i rather suspect she has not been using sunscreen. I don't think that sends good message to the children.

I am therefore voting for Norman as i like to drink a lot of tea.

quietasamouse · 07/05/2015 18:11

Yes, I too was wondering how she got so.... orange Hmm

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 18:14

Michael the Beach policeman is the same colour!

SkodaLabia · 07/05/2015 18:19

What's that behind Michael the Beach Policeman? Is he armed?

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 18:20

Yes, but all the Playmo police are armed.

sunnydayinmay · 07/05/2015 18:21

Norman for me, please!

AliceLidl · 07/05/2015 18:21

I think I'd like to vote for the Military Party.

I like a good parade and a bit of military precision, and you'd expect them to have a good brass band.

I like brass bands.

I am putting my X next to Sir Ospringe.

Magna · 07/05/2015 18:22

Vote for Norman here

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 07/05/2015 18:24

Hurrah!! Norman the Foreman and the people of playmoland are back!

I am a bit torn, though. Norman is, of course, a marvellous hunk of plastic manhood, and I would love to vote for him - but I don't like tea. Not at all.

woolymum · 07/05/2015 18:24

after some deliberation me and dh would like to add our allegiance to the tea drinking party. really fancy a brew now....
Brew Biscuit

SkodaLabia · 07/05/2015 18:24

No, that's fine. I like a show of force from a plastic policeman.

Vote the Law & Order Party!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 07/05/2015 18:26

Upon reflection, I think my best choice is the Law and Order party.

Michael For The Win!!
