Can it really be five years since the tea-drinking party, led by NormanTheForeman swept to victory in the last general election? Oh yes it can! And today the plastic people are off to the polling stations again.

This year's parties standing for election are as follows:-

Tea-drinking party (leader NormanTheForeman)

Lifesaving party (leader KylieTheLifeguard)

Law and Order party (leader MichaelTheBeachPoliceman)

Military party (leader Sir Ospringe Bapchild)

Legalise Robbery party (leader Jack Jellyhead)

PlaymoLand Independence party (PLIP) (leader Nigel Garage)

Here's a photo of all the party leaders.

I'll be back shortly to tell you a little about each party's main policies.

Polls are open now and will close at 10 pm.

Cast your vote here! Grin

I vote for Mark (the guy in the jeans and yellow top). I don't care what he thinks his name is - it must be Mark, because I have a Mark and he's called Mark. He's a single father to his two sons, Oliver and Ben (who, inexplicably, have remained 10 and 6 respectively for over a decade) and lives in a caravan with about half a dozen horses.

And I don't like tea.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 07/05/2015 13:45

Oh good, the photo's visible again now. Well, there's only one female candidate and as I'm keen to carry on living for a bit longer I think Kylie has to get my vote. I'm hoping, though, that she will go into coalition with Norman and there will be free fried breakfasts and cream teas throughout the land.

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 13:50

Mark is Nige! Grin

Sorry, I didn't make it clear. In the photo from L to R the candidates are Jack Jellyhead, Sir Ospringe Bapchild, Nigel Garage, Michael, Kylie and Norm.

Oh well, if Norman is okay with coffee and cream then he has my vote. Brew Cake Star

flugella · 07/05/2015 13:52

A vote for Norm and the tea drinkers from me!

CJCregg · 07/05/2015 14:04

I'm hoping for a Norm/Kylie coalition, so am voting tactically for Kylie. I love Norm and always will, but I like the cut of Kylie's jib.

And I'm not completely sold on Norm's inclusiveness towards coffee drinkers. I think he might renege on that pledge once in office.

vindscreenviper · 07/05/2015 14:04

Oh dear, St Cuthbert has found himself in a spot of bother with some nasty foreigners who don't understand the democratic process.
I think the Law and Order Party will be getting his vote.

Choose Life! I vote for Kylie!

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 14:09

Haha, I'm loving St Cuthbert! We have a playmo man called Cuthbert - he is the police officer who stand guard outside No. 10 Upping Street... Grin

Does anyone have a battle bus? (or other political vehicle?)

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 14:12

Michael the Beach Policeman has a quad bike. Sir Ospringe Bapchild has a horse...

Cheers SoMuch, thanks to this thread I've only just realised that his sandals are removable.
He can't even send for the police because they were boxed up and put in the attic last month. Sad

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 14:13

And Kylie has a jetski. Jack Jellyhead probably has a stolen car.

DaveMinion · 07/05/2015 14:13

So I can now see the photo.

I don't like the look of nige garage. But I like his policies.

I like the look of jellyhead (always trust a guy in a flatcap in my book) but his policies are shite and so is my tablet that didn't want me to call it shite (wow it has political opinions)

I'm seriously considering spoiling my paper. Although as an NHS employee I guess Kylie would be on my side..

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 14:14

I'm a bit Shock about the police being boxed up and put in the attic!

GladysTheGolem · 07/05/2015 14:16

Michael. I want a quad bike...quad bikes for all on the agenda?

vindscreenviper · 07/05/2015 14:19

I know, it's like the end of an era, the dinosaurs, Egyptians and Romans are up there too.
It's all about the Lego Architecture now

MrsTrentReznor · 07/05/2015 14:28

Norman! (but only if I can have a hash brown with my cooked breakfast)
Grin

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 14:31

I'm sure you can have a hash brown!

OP posts:
Katz · 07/05/2015 14:35

my votes goes to Kylie - Law and Order party

but i'm not sure i like my vote being public, wheres my ballot paper?

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 14:38

Kylie is the Lifesaving party, Katz - it's Michael for Law and Order. I would have had a secret ballot if I had the facility on here, but I don't!

Life! Life! Life!

Kylie gets my vote. All you tea-drinking cake-guzzlers will need her if you are silly enough to swim in the sea within one hour of eating your elevenses...

Marisaurus · 07/05/2015 14:48

Norman and the tea drinkers.

AhoyMcCoy · 07/05/2015 14:54

Seeing your thread title in Active has made my day! It's a tough decision for me, but I vote Kylie.

I sense some undercurrents of tension in PlaymoLand and think change is needed. Norm had a good five years and should retire gracefully.

NextMrsTatum · 07/05/2015 15:04

Kylie for me as I don't drink tea or coffee.
