Sanquhar

AMAZING!!

Lemondrizzletwunt · 13/02/2015 11:58

This HAS to be immortalised in Classics now.

00100001 · 13/02/2015 11:59

report it!! report it!!

BitOutOfPractice · 13/02/2015 12:02

Oh this thread has made me chuckle (obvs in a ladylike manner into my lace-trimmed hankie)

I am so impressed sometimes by the absolutely fantastic wealth of knowledge and experience we have here on MN. And so often conveyed here with wit and humour.

AS for the idea that the OP was being bullied...farcical

Are you feeling alright iheartu? Do you need fanning? Or smellingsalts. You seem to have come over all bonkers unecessary

Seriously thugh, if that is an attempt at humour, it's in very very poor taste

ArcheryAnnie · 13/02/2015 12:23

Oh, iheartyou, I really wouldn't go there if I were you.

And I notice you still don't have any problem with a young man's dismissal of and condescension to older women.

QueenTilly · 13/02/2015 12:24

Iheartu

Seriously? Seriously? Seriously?!

And this is why young men's rights activists undermine their movement. By their habitual attempts to compare anything to human rights abuses such as slavery and apartheid.

Good grief, iheartu, really??

TanteRose · 13/02/2015 12:31

OMG this is on buzzfeed!

I do love MN

ilovereading · 13/02/2015 12:36

Aww, guys, maybe OP really was missing his mum and came on here genuinely wanting to help, but got off on the wrong foot ... After all 'Mumsnet' does sound like a cosy comforting place to a newbie, doesn't it? If this is how it all started OP, let me say that I'm sorry about your Mum,(I miss mine too). You should have been warned by the leopard-print Mumsnet scarves...But all could still be redeemed if you come back and show us that you've learnt something here. There could still be a place for you here one day! (though an NC might be wise).

I used to read The Register a lot, and for a while there was a bot who frequented the comments sections - you could actually get half way through the comment before you realised it didn't mean anything (then you looked at the poster's name and realised why)

I don't think iheartu is a bot, he/she is too brief/obvious in what he/she is saying.

indextwo · 13/02/2015 12:48

So, I've just spent the past 30 minutes reading every post on every page of this thread. Fucking amazing.

Also, thankyou (I can't find the original poster now, but whoever it was) for introducing me to Grace Hopper and Hedy Lamarr. I'm Googling them on Bing right now.

GibberingFlapdoodle · 13/02/2015 12:52

Black light... I'd like to worship you but I'm not sure I'm worthy.

Hissy · 13/02/2015 12:55

Saw this on buzz feed! Hilarious Grin

QueenTilly · 13/02/2015 12:55

Googling them on bing, are you, index? ShockGrin

Mumsnet really need to save this thread. It's linguistically important, like the moment someone first "Hoovered with a Dyson/Henry/Goblin".

I feel privileged to have been here to see it live.
Celebratory Wine everyone?

scallopsrgreat · 13/02/2015 12:57

This is such a good value thread Grin
