Any positives about a YES vote, for the English? (light hearted)

The Weather on TV will be a LOT shorter.

We will only have to wait 5 minutes for the weather girl to get round to us, instead of the usual 15 minutes, while they go all round the houses Scotland etc. Grin

Sezza - this is laughing to hide the tears if the vote is yes. I think Scotland is a wonderful part of my country and I will be very sad if it becomes a separate nation.

Legionofboom · 18/09/2014 15:50

and a fresh caught Salmond

Is Salmond going to have been caught by the rapid haggis with the lop sided legs? Because if yes, can someone put the catch on YouTube please?

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2014 15:51

'The Country Formerly Know As The UK'
oh, we could just have an unpronouncable squiggle like Prince did.

beccajoh · 18/09/2014 15:53

TCFKATU

beccajoh · 18/09/2014 15:54

TCFKATUK even. It's a bit of a mouthful.

Legionofboom · 18/09/2014 15:55

Sezza no-one here wants rid of Scotland. We are having a bit of fun to relieve the sadness and concern. It is a big day for the rest of Britain too. The future of everyone is in the air and most people don't have any say in what happens. (I'm not saying they should btw but of course they are concerned).

Legionofboom · 18/09/2014 15:56

^^This.

Someone weave it into a flag with loom bands quick.

SezzaLou02 · 18/09/2014 15:57

Ok, maybe I'm just not taking this very well, and quite personally. It's such a huge thing for us and not something which we have taken lightly in any way. I think I'll leave now

HesterShaw · 18/09/2014 15:57

OMG just been on Facebook, one of my stupid cousins has put 'vote yes Scotland, then we can kick all the Gingers out back to where they belong'

I'm ginger and I don't have a drop of Scottish blood. Where will I go?

gingee · 18/09/2014 15:57

Shortened to a word that sounds like 'fucket' fkat.... I'm from fucket.

HesterShaw · 18/09/2014 15:58

Sezza it's called gallows humour. Why on earth are you offended by it?

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 18/09/2014 15:58

Former United Kingdom (unfortunately)

FUK U

gingee · 18/09/2014 15:59

Hester you will be quarantined until genetic testing finds a suitable home for you, could be Siberia.

HesterShaw · 18/09/2014 15:59

Genius. We will live in FUK U.

HesterShaw · 18/09/2014 16:00

I'm sure I'd like Siberia. It's very pretty. Also it's nice and cold so I don't get sunburn.

beccajoh · 18/09/2014 16:00

Sezza it's not just about Scotland you know. We have absolutely no say in the future of our country.

AuntieStella · 18/09/2014 16:00

"TCFKATUK even. It's a bit of a mouthful."

I've tried that out loud - it comes out like chuh-fuk-a-tuk or tuss-fuk-a-tuk.

As that still leaves two options for the first syllable (and I think it's just possible that we've had enough of two options in this context), we can be Fuck-a-Tuck for day to day use and adopt the Merry Men as a newly prioritised national mascot.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 18/09/2014 16:00

'Round Britain Quiz' will have fewer rounds....

CogitoErgoSometimes · 18/09/2014 16:01

'Britain's Got Talent'... will never discover another Susan Boyle.

AuntieStella · 18/09/2014 16:01

"I'm ginger and I don't have a drop of Scottish blood. Where will I go? "

Somewhere nice and comfy with Prince Harry?

CogitoErgoSometimes · 18/09/2014 16:03

Team GB will never win another medal at curling again... ever...

HesterShaw · 18/09/2014 16:03

We have absolutely no say in the future of our country.

I have tried this one many times. Apparently we don't count because it's like a divorce you see.

beccajoh · 18/09/2014 16:04

Perhaps 'Formerly known as the UK'. FKATUK fuh-kah-tuk

CogitoErgoSometimes · 18/09/2014 16:05

We won't have to pretend we like Andy Murray?

FrankelandFilly · 18/09/2014 16:05

Roaring @ Fuck-a-Tuck Grin

Sezza it's a lighthearted thread, nothing is meant by the joshing. That is unless we've uncovered the truth about the Haggi? Wink

Won't someone think of the Haggi!
