My Mad Fat Diary currently on TV is set in the 90's I love it purely for that!

I got thrown out of brownies for selling pokemon cards!!

Strawberry Millions, combat trousers in camo patterns, Genie in a bottle, Clarissa, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Buffy, The Babysitters Club, The Craft, £1 penny mixes, mobile phone top ups that were on a scratchcard.

Tamagotchis that died after a day and were consigned to the junk drawer..

Tbh though, the 90's was the WORST decade to be a teenager in a lot of ways. The clothes were either really dull, or just horrible: really massive baggy Joe Bloggs jeans on boys? With massive baggy T shirts?
Yuk.

I turned 13 in 99 I remember all this! I wore the skirt trousers too school in black with clumpy kIckers shoes! Wearing a tin of Charlie Red . I loved watching Sweet Valley High, California Dreams, Sister Sister and Heartbeat high! I really wish I could go back was a brilliant time!

I lived in Pedal Pushers & Reebok Classics

I still have my Tape Walkman that I got in 98 & my mix tapes , I even know which song is where on each tape iyswim , much better than iPods I bet they won't last as long as my walkman .

I also use to wear long stripey socks with 'Jesus' Sandals I was the only Mosher for miles where I lived
I miss my baggies (Jeans) they could soak up a whole puddle

Not forgetting those tiny elastic bands that everybody would braid their hair with

I was a child in the 90s but vividly remember thinking that ALL boys with curtains were sooooo super cool and sophisticated and fanciable I was about 10/12 by the end of them.

I saved for ages to get myself a pair of kickers.

Ohh no ThenWhen, I think the 90s must have been better than the 00s. The 00s is ridiculously undefined. At least the 90s had raves and grunge
