Just spotted this on the M&S site. It's rather fugly but for fifty pence....

50p armchair

Got to be a mistake? Tempted to buy one and sell it on eBay .

The arching chair that doesn't recline is £559

I reckon it's meant to be £500

What will happen if they don't honour it? Will they really take £500 without asking or will they check first? "We've made a mistake and its really £500, do you still want it?"

I would order one for a neighbour (who could do with a recliner though I would give a throw to him with it!).

If I go ahead and order is there any way they could take out more money from my account than the 50p?

I've just ordered one too. I wanted a chair for the bedroom, thought I can always put a throw over it...

It's really wrong I've just register with M&S just to order a 50p chair I hate and have no room for oh well I'm sure a local homeless shelter will have a use for it or a similar organisation?

Erm is wrong that I could really do with a free delivery code so am considering ordering one for the "we're sorry it was an error" email.in the Hope they send one as a goodwill gesture?

They can't take more than 50p from your account. Doesn't work like that.

I think they can email us all and say it was an error, but they can't take more money than you've agreed to. I'm pretty sure that with online selling, the 'contract' isn't agreed until the point of delivery.

M&S may have a policy. I will look

I'm not sure if such an obvious mistake will be honoured. Argos did something similar with a TV I think.
