Just spotted this on the M&S site. It's rather fugly but for fifty pence....

50p armchair

Got to be a mistake? Tempted to buy one and sell it on eBay .

Well you'll be sitting pretty if they do honour it. Keep me updated as to what happens. I think the throw idea, or re upholstering it are genius ideas. It'll probably be very comfortable.

I actually feel a but guilty because a kind hearted poster suggested they'd donate it to the Oxfam shop, whereas I immediately thought: eBay..kerching!

I thnk you're gonna have to pay people to come and collect them when you advertise on ebay - no one is going to want such an ugly chair. Maybe the is a reason that they are 50p.I was tempted though

I changed the quantity to 2 and my order went through. I doubt they will honour it though.

You don't have to pay people to collect on eBay. You just sell 'collection only' or charge £20 postage for a courier.

I bought one and got s confirmation email! I am so hoping it works as I really have been looking for a hideous recliner for the living room.

I'm now starting to panic! What if it does turn up? It's hideous and huge looking and I have no space to keep it even until I flog it! Ah fuck it it gave me and the DD's a much needed giggle!

My immediate thought was "Eww, ugly" however when I did the hovery doo dah my head did an MN tilt and I found myself thinking "Actually...it's not that bad close up"

Could donate them to a hospice or sheltered accommodation or give it to a neighbour in a random act of kindness!
