I am going to Merry Hill M&S tomorrow to stage a protest if I don't get my phone call to arrange delivery. 2 Days they said...

Buzzardbird · 09/01/2014 16:13

Might pop to the furniture bit to test run the ugly bastard Grin

HoneyDragon · 09/01/2014 16:14

If the ugly bastards in their take a screenshot, 50 pence and demand a price match Grin

MarmaladeBatkins · 09/01/2014 16:15

Me and Chaos will be up Mezza tomorrow Shock

May I propose a chair-demanding flashmob? Meet by the monorail at 10.30.

JakeBullet · 09/01/2014 16:20

Some bloke on hotdealsuk has ordered 177 of them. He says he will line them up and if his calculations are rignt then he wont need to drive to work anymore Grin . Just go from chair to chair Grin .

SpocksThirdEar · 09/01/2014 16:25

50p has been taken from my account. I want my fugly chair! Although I think DH won't be so impressed, he told me we didn't need one and didn't have room for one.

Surely there is always room for a 50p fugly chair?

Buzzardbird · 09/01/2014 16:26

Monorail is long gone Marms wonder what they did with the seats...

SpocksThirdEar · 09/01/2014 16:29

Oh how I'd laugh at 177 fugly chairs being delivered to one person!

ilove · 09/01/2014 16:31

They've taken payment from me for mine...

frozenfandango · 09/01/2014 16:32

I think your all going to be disappointed!

Google 'invitation to treat' it's a mistake and your unlikely to get them and they don't have to honour it.

CarriesPawnShop · 09/01/2014 16:32

For every one concerned they might not get their chair, there's probably two people really worried that they will get their chair Grin

I won't be up in arms not to get the chair. I don't even want a goodwill gesture. ..,, this thread has done that for me Grin .

They need to just say " sorry, it's an error and we can't sell it at that price". The vast majority of us expect and accept that. They might get a small minority who moan but they need to stand firm on it, Legally they would be in the right.

If they get into "goodwill gestures" then why not ask if people would be prepared to forgo that gesture and donate it to a charity? I bet most of us would.

HoneyDragon · 09/01/2014 16:43

frozenfandango how can we be disappointed? We get a chair....hurrah.

We don't get a chair and moan for another five consecutive threads .... Hurrah.

HoneyDragon · 09/01/2014 16:44

Well..... I'd quite like my £2.80 back Grin

Invitation to treat ends as soon as they have taken the money...from that point a contract is made

They've taken the money from my account...my balance and my available balance differ by.....wait for it....50p Grin

DameDeepRedBetty · 09/01/2014 16:46

justmuddlingalong · 09/01/2014 16:47

GoofyIsACow · 09/01/2014 16:47

not with me everlong, there have been day long meetings, somewhere there are sweaty executives and cheap suits, wiping their brow and sipping the 34th cup of vended nescafe and quivering!

HolidayArmadillo · 09/01/2014 16:47

HolidayArmadillo · 09/01/2014 16:48

Dear Customer

We are aware that, for a short period of time on our website yesterday, our Richmond Highback Recliner Chair was incorrectly priced at 50p. During this time an order was placed for the chair on your account and we’re sorry to let you know that this order will not be processed further.

We know that this will be disappointing for you, however, we hope you can see this was an obvious pricing error on our part and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. You will receive further emails from us today to notify you that your order has not been progressed and a refund processed.

If your order included any additional items, apart from the chair, we’re afraid that you will have to place a new order for those items.

Once again, we do apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience caused by this.

If you have any further questions about your order, you can contact us by clicking here. Or by calling 0845 609 0200, If you are calling from overseas please call +44 208 090 9564.
