Just spotted this on the M&S site. It's rather fugly but for fifty pence....

Interesting. Their terms and conditions state that they will have accepted your order when they dispatch / commence the service requested. They will only take payment when they've accepted the order.

So, this means those orders dispatched / where money's been taken have been accepted and I'd suggest can't now be cancelled. The time to refuse the orders would be before the dispatch email / collection of funds from the bank account. Until that point you've only offered to buy the chair / invitation to treat. At point of dispatch / collection of funds there's a contract in place.

I bet they'll still try to wriggle out of it though.

I bloody wish I'd seen this earlier than I did as I'd have ordered a couple of the ugly bastards. DH was most upset I missed out! :-)

I would have ordered a pair for a relative, and I bet they would have loved the fact they had new recliners delivered for free, they would have ignored the fugly fabric.

Mine says dispatched. I thought if they did come they would ring to arrange delivery. we shall see

I've just seen on the news that M&S sales were down over the Christmas period. MNetters, we may just have saved the company with our flurry of orders.

I suspect we'll get the decliner emails around 11am, following M&S's emergency wtf staff meeting that will no doubt be called around 9.01am this morning.

What I hope M&S do is get their own back.

I hope they say they will honour the sale according to availability. Then I hope they secretly cherry pick all the twats who ordered a hundred or more and insist on delivering them. To their home address only.

Murad wouldn't even honour a combination of a discount and gift set in the Xmas bargain threads, even though it was their mistake (bad wording in their t&c and website allowing multiple codes on one order). Lots of posters had their money taken, orders cancelled and money took a week to be refunded. Some didn't even get an email cancellation, just they money refunded.

Blooming heck, delivery by feb 13th. Wtf am I going to do with it?!
