Oooh how exciting! What are you going to say?

Ahhhtetley · 27/06/2012 15:42

I'm presuming you're not married to him already?

Dropdeadfred · 27/06/2012 15:42

Why the face??? Is this a shock or just a shit proposal??

Mrsjay · 27/06/2012 15:42

Oh sounds like a proposal Grin not very romantic though

justtryingtodomybest · 27/06/2012 15:42

That's good isn't it?

ThisIsAUsername · 27/06/2012 15:42

Shock Grin

Would you love to be his wife??

Psammead · 27/06/2012 15:42

Hope it wasn't a wrong number Grin

Just kidding. Does he think he's being romantic? Do you care? What did you text back?

puds11 · 27/06/2012 15:43

Can't say i'd be willing to marry someone who proposed by text. Is he really shy? How long have you been together?

Xales · 27/06/2012 15:44

Are you sure it was meant for you? Grin

Have you replied?

It's not exactly a proposal it is more a fishing out before asking so that he knows the answer and won't die on the spot if you do say no comment isn't it?

ErikNorseman · 27/06/2012 15:45

Awwww

MrsRhettButler · 27/06/2012 15:45

Its not really a proposal though is it? There's no question in the text, he's stating how he feels. Maybe he wants to tell you that that's where he hopes you are headed?

TheOneWithTheHair · 27/06/2012 15:45

Proposing by text is a bit Hmm

He could at least ask to your face.

Mrsjay · 27/06/2012 15:46

least its original a modern txt proposal Grin I said to dh before we were married but living together , do you fancy booking the registry office not v romantic that he still married me,

knittedslippersx3 · 27/06/2012 15:47

Ah, I think it's really sweet. Especially if it was completely out of the blue and you hadn't even been discussing it. You should text him something back, I'm rubbish at that sort of thing and so can't think of a good reply :(

MorrisZapp · 27/06/2012 15:48

I don't understand proposals. Sorry!

If two adults are in a serious relationship, why does one of them have to wait patiently for the other one to ask for marriage? Wouldn't you just discuss this stuff, same as you discuss moving house, having kids etc.

Grockle · 27/06/2012 15:48

I love him but I've always said I won't get married again! I've been unwell & having a bad day so I'm not sure if he's just trying to cheer me up by reminding me that he wants to marry me - he often says he'd love it. I don't know what he'd do if I said yes!

OP posts:
Grockle · 27/06/2012 15:49

I hope it was for me!

OP posts:
NinaHeart · 27/06/2012 15:50

I'd reply along the lines of "ask me in person".

Grockle · 27/06/2012 15:52

I think it is like MrsRhett says - he's just telling me. I wasn't expecting it - it made me smile. I'm feeling rubbish so it was sweet of him to say that. He's away but will be home tomorrow. Maybe I should just give in and tell him to marry me

OP posts:
Jasperkins · 27/06/2012 15:55

Aww I love that!
DH used to say things like that to me via text when we were dating (and v. young) Things like 'I can't wait to marry you' etc.
Made me go all mushy!
miserable git never says anything romantic now

Mrsjay · 27/06/2012 15:55

Do you want to marry him ? I know you said you didn't want to marry again but.... I would text him back with a Smile and tell him you love him

Psammead · 27/06/2012 15:56

Glad it made you happy and not cross! Very sweet thing to hear.

knittedslippersx3 · 27/06/2012 15:57

Text him back 'where and when?'

ThisIsAUsername · 27/06/2012 15:57

Do I dig out my hat or not...?

Marry the man! :)
