Just been reading on the web and yes one per floor is suggested if you have multiple floors.

stinkyfluffycat · 13/05/2011 18:48

How have I not seen these thread until now? ICKLE TINY FLUFFY KITTY KITTENS! Forgive me for not reading all 34 pages, but are you keeping them? I think I'd have to (smuggling them about my person if necessary). Ickle blue eyes and ickle pink noses and special extra fluffy kitten fur!!
So glad someone's looking after them, I'll go no before my cooing noises make anyone throw up.

Pinot · 13/05/2011 18:48

Oh boy. Thanks Northern, good advice. Have a Wine for your trouble :)

Pinot they have grown so much! You must be so proud Smile

I'm in awe that you have taken in these wee blobs, who would have died without your intervention and made them into teeny tiny little cats.

TheOriginalFAB · 13/05/2011 18:57

"unless ClaireDeLoon manages to wrestle Ginger off me"

How can you even contemplate that that would happen Shock.

stinkyfluffycat · 13/05/2011 18:58

Aww, lucky you, lucky them. They really are ridiculously cute Smile

Pinot · 13/05/2011 19:01

Oh FAB believe me, I have a very strong grip

As I type, Meow is lying curled up in the gap between my bra and my Tshirt and Ginger is purring as he lies on my collar bone, squeeeeeeeeeee :)

Thanks happymole you're lovely! [kitten]

I do so love a ginger kitty though, they grow into such characters. My old boy passed away last November at the grand old age of 19 and he was the best cat ever and he knew it. And if visitors didn't twig how fabulous he was he told them, even the ocado delivery drivers.

Pinot the number of trays thing depends how well they get on, when I had 3 and my old boy was fairly healthy They were fine with one tray but as his kidneys went and he drank and weed more I needed two and now I just have two youngsters they're happy sharing one. It really depends how territorial they end up being with each other I think.

Pinot · 13/05/2011 19:43

Lovely Claire you can be his MN Auntie! He's been hilarious this afternoon, he's been stalking his toy for the first time ever and then leaping on it. Tis tooooo cute! Meow is always a day or so behind, bless her heart :)

Oh not been on here for a while! Love the new photos!!

SummerRain · 13/05/2011 20:51

Pinot... I have one tray between 4.... but we live surrounded by fileds and they're outdoor cats... it's just for at night as we can't put a catflap in (rented house)

Jux · 13/05/2011 22:19

When our (late) female cat had 3 kits on the 2nd floor, we kept a litter tray up there, mainly for her tbh (and at first fed and watered her up there too). Once she'd brought the kittens downstairs though and they were roaming free, we just had one tray on the ground floor. They were fine and there were no accidents or squabbles about it. They all knew where it was, and initially they stayed downstairs anyway - once they'd come downstairs they had problems getting up again until they big enough to have control over their expellations!

I think it's fairly unlikely that you'll need more than one tray. I did once in a while have to move it back upstairs when dd took them all up there for the night though Grin

midnightservant · 14/05/2011 00:58

I too have been lurking from the start and am de-lurking to add my admiration for you and the way you have raised these adorable kitty-poozies.

My Mistress, Midnight, is snoring on the couch beside me.

Pinot · 14/05/2011 08:03

Oh Midnight that's lovely thank you! Have had a morning to forget so far...woke up to the sound of meowing, put my hand in the tub to placate them and found sticky smelly poo on the end of my thumb...eyes open, lights on - poo everywhere !! Someone had pooped all over the blanket, on the mouse and up the side of the tub. It was all over the kittens - including Meows face Then bathed them, whilst drying them Meow pooped all over the towel.

Yeegods!

Now fed, dry, asleep whilst the washing machine is running.

All this before 6.30am Shock Shock

What a lovely start to the day! Is Meow OK do you think, just normal poo not upset tum poo?

Pinot · 14/05/2011 08:26

They seem fine - they both fed OK and are asleep...it was normal poo, just in gigantic proportions !!

I am so pleased that you are looking after the kitties. You are clearly doing a good job.

ExitPursuedByAKitten · 14/05/2011 10:16

Eek - poor you Pinot. Thumb in poo in the early hours. Hope their tums have settled down now.

TheOriginalFAB · 14/05/2011 13:05

Just like a real baby Grin!

Jux · 14/05/2011 15:51

You could try to teach them to use the loo. There are loads of you-tube vids of cats doing it, so it must be possible .......

SummerRain · 14/05/2011 16:36

Oh Pinot... what a wake up ShockGrin

Hope the day improved after that Brew

Jellykat · 14/05/2011 19:25

Pinot - That A.M wake up tale, takes me back to when my DSs were tiny.. ..Munchkins! Grin

BecauseImWorthIt · 15/05/2011 14:14

I saw this and thought of you, Pino!

BecauseImWorthIt · 15/05/2011 14:14
