I know there was no time and I feel all weighed down with the responsibility of it all, but here we are ladies, a new home...

Morning!

Change of plan re dd4 - the docs are fine-tuning her meds so she has to stay another night, fingers crossed for discharge tomorrow. Meanwhile I have to hang around at home waiting for contact from the company who are installing the oxygen equipment. I have been assured that they are doing it this morning and they would be in touch beforehand (yesterday? ).

TeaSleepFood · 29/04/2009 09:20

Morning,

Schhhnoris, hope the O2 arrives ok and you have DD home and safe soon.

Estar - you are not alone!
I locked DS in the car when he was 4 months old.
We had gone swimming and my was struggling to hold DD. I put DS in his chair - not strapped in - and threw my car keys over to the front seat while shutting the door. Beeeeeep! On went theimmobiliser. Bugger. Got in a right panic but mum calmed me down. Called RAC out who said we were a priority. Mum now getting jittery but unlike you estar, I tried to hide! He was due a nap and I thought if I play with him, he is likely to wriggle and fall off the car seat. Thankfully, he did go to sleep and the clever lady from the RAC managed to hook my keys through a wedged door and push the bipper with a screw driver.

What a lovely day down here. I think I shall go and put my potatoes in ...

Goodmorning ladies.
First of all Snorris...........soooooo happy that your darling girl is coming home, rejoice!
Jennyroper
Shabs, dont talk to me about school trips, I have to find £300 next week to stump up the balance on their 4 day trip to the IOW. This morning they are at Dover water centre on a taster sailing session, £15 and take towels, packed lunches, wet shoes, swim suits, spare clothes and water proofs and wet suits if you have them! xs 3!
My next job is to order the school uniform for Sept, just measured them, a pathetic chest size of 24" each, and 21" waist, smallest uniform size is 30/32!! Cost is approx £300 and that doesn`t inc shirts or trousers!!
Just paid car ins, £250, house ins,£160, dapa fees, £180, and Frid MOT on car is due!

And poor H is very fed up, chemo has been cancelled again, cancelled last week as his blood levels were low, left him a week saying they should rise, they have dropped further, so no chemo, got to go to see the onc tomorrow, another 60 mile round trip, twice a week plus parking is expensive!

I have bought some Aloe Vera pills from H&B, for the diverticula prob, hope it starts working soon.

Think thats me

triplets · 29/04/2009 10:53

Oh, and Ruby I hid so he wouldn't see me and try to come for a cuddle. What? It made sense at the time!

Afternoon ladies. Sounds like you've all been busy.

Re. chubby islands - low GI worked for me (although once I stopped I was once again marooned in baby balcony land). Low GI's much better than no carbs though - you don' get smelly breath AND you can eat chocolate.

MrsF - if you are still with us? - all the very best of luck with the birth of your girls on Friday! May the force be with you, etc.

jenny I was rofling at your suggestion. There have been many times when they were all smaller and we had been tearing up someone's house for the afternoon then we would finally get them strapped securely in the car, go back in the house to say goodbye to our friends and say 'Right, now it's all quiet, shall we have another brew so we hear each other talk?' Never did actually follow through with it though!

Ooo, I like it here in the garden.

Did DD4 make it home today Snorris?

shabster · 30/04/2009 06:16

Good morning girls xx

curlyredhead · 30/04/2009 11:21

Right, I am back, and I am going to post more than once on this thread!

I have twin dds, who are now 11 months, and another dd who is nearly 4 1/2. I did introduce myself aaaages ago, but somehow I just lurked rather than chatting. I think I feel like I'm maybe intruding on all of you who already know each other / what's going on in each other's lives..... but have decided that is a foolish way to think, and that having mums of multiples to chat to is NECESSARY in my life! So, you are going to be stuck with me.

My little girls are up and moving - dd2 is cruising like a good un, and dd3 is taking runs of 10 or 12 steps by herself - am a bit surprised, dd1 was v cautious, never cruised, and didn't walk on her own till 14 months. But bring it on, I say, can't wait till they are more able to move around (though I'm sure I'll be on here lamenting the destruction!).

Have had my ups and downs in the last year - most days I have a bit of time where I am muttering 'I hate my life' under my breath - I love love love my girls, but being a SAHM to three under five is a spicy meatball. Dd1 is in nursery five mornings, thank goodness, she needs the other people and the chance to do more than watch tv (bad mum, bad mum, bad mum.....).

Ah well, that's me. Will try and keep up with all you chatty lovely ladies.

Curly - welcome back!! Good bunch of ladies here - never think you are intruding. xxx

HarrogateMum · 30/04/2009 14:07

hello all - just sticking my head in whilst working/eating lunch to say I am still alive but buried under a mountain of study/home improvement problems/kids/work etc etc.....

HOpe all well - FG I emailed you to say I was still here - hopefully you got it! Shabs, you too!

Welcome all newcomers, hello all you oldies (length of service, not being ageist...can you tell I work in HR).

On a final note - something to make you giggle....we were at Junior Church (like Sunday School) last week. The leader of the orange group (aged 3-5) asked if anyone had any news...DT1 stood up and said "I played with my dinosaurs this morning". Claps all round.

DT2 stood up and said "This morning Maddy tried to stick her finger up Daddy's bottom".

Queue eyes swivelling to me, I was paralytic with laughter, not sure it went down that well with the group leaders but hey ho

shabster · 30/04/2009 14:17

Love it HM - piggin' good to see you on here - we were ready to send out a search party

shabster · 30/04/2009 14:40

Needed to tell you girls something very strange!!

This morning Tom wanted a sausage butty sandwich for breakfast. I went to make it taking along Lewis who wanted to watch what was going on So I buttered the bread and Tom shouted 'can I have brown sauce on please Mum.'

I got the sauce out of the cupboard and smiled to myself...Matt was a 'brown sauce fiend' he loved it. I giggled inside and cuddled Lew a bit closer....there was hardly any sauce left and when I squeezed the bottle it came out with a big farty noise which Lew really loved. I put some on the other piece of bread - farty noise accompanied by loud laughter from Lew.

When I looked at one of the pieces of bread the sauce had made a perfect heart shaped blob!! I shouted Tom in to have a look, he was very impressed, and he said 'Thats just Matt telling you he is around.'
