D'y ever wonder why we wash towels if we only use them after baths?

I know there was no time and I feel all weighed down with the responsibility of it all, but here we are ladies, a new home...

holy mother of God what a day. My 5 month old twins are a walk in the park compared the psychotic 2 year old. Please God let him wake up tomorrow morning less whingy/clingy/violent/irritable/difficult etc.
It is ANZAC day tomorrow so we are setting our alarms for 5.30am so that we can all go down to the cenetaph and see the dawn service to remember all the NZ soldiers who died in the war. Setting an alarm to get up earlier than the children would wake up anyway? Have I gone completely insane. It would appear so.
On a lighter note, here is the best ever joke in the whole world ever and ever.
Last night I dreamt I ate 2 giant marshmallows. Then I woke up and my pillows were gone

Hello! I have arrived here after Ruby left me a trail of pebbles to follow from this thread. If you care to opine about the fun and games of 4-year old twins at our house at the moment, do follow the trail back.

Got to pop out now for a while but will be back later - am very glad to have found you all - thanks Rubyruburuby and frumpygrumpy.

shabster · 24/04/2009 11:05

Hiya Blue - welcome to the asylum multiple mums bar thread - good to have you here

estar · 24/04/2009 11:59

Jenny - I so remember saying that, when my twins were a few months old and DS1 was in the terrible twos! Thankfully his didn't last too long - think he worked out pretty fast that I was too knackered to give him the kind of attention he was stropping for, and so he learnt to be nice again pretty soon.

And 5.30? Yes, you are insane

frumpygrumpy · 24/04/2009 14:04

I think I may have breathed alcohol fumes over the builders at this mornings meet.......surely they'll finish now? It'll be "c'mon boys, that auld soak is a bit tarnished at the edges, lets sling our hook".

Hi Blue, glad you made it. Shabs is most commonly known to me as pinkfrog........let that be a guide to who is a bit barking on this thread Ruby has new flips flops, Trips has triplets and a husband in the throes of chemo, jennyroper lives in NZ, teasleepfood is funny, snorris has a daughter who has a serious heart condition and we are keeping the biggest chair free for her right now, HM is missing in action, Momma pops in too little and is my guru, Mars is ......... is........... around , estar is back and there are numerous more who are no less important but who I don't have the depth of time available to describe I drank too much last night and I enjoy live music and lusting after all sorts of men on a need to know basis I also believe in world peace and children

Right. Shall I cross train, change the kids beds, bake or run through the house throwing out anything that is in my path?

Ruby, it totally floats my boat!!!! Big event for me is new flop flops!!!! In my defence, I was typing fast and just as quick as it came into my head.........you are of course, a gorgeous, self-employed, mother of 4 with a woofer and a handsome DP who loves you all madly and you do wii fit at 6.30am. Was that any better?

Has anyone heard from LargeG&T in the last few months? Shall I Facebook her for an update that I can report back to you all, or d'y think that's a bit pushy??

BlueEyedMaid · 24/04/2009 21:22

Thanks FG for some most excellent introductions and for saving me going through all impressive 32 pages of this mad thread to get the gist. I myself do own shagme shoes but these days never get to use them dammit. Would love to hear the trials and tribulations of people who do. Am also a Scandowegian mostly SAHM & sometime self-employed freelance writer, aspiring author (one day! one day!), have ID boys who look nothing alike (to me) with an amusing Brit who likes jazz and punk rock and makes me martinis on Friday nights (cheers!), currently stressed out because the recession is strangling DH's company and we're living on our dwindling savings as he can't afford to pay himself BUT! There's a whole lot more to life than boring ££.

Can I just say how delighted I am to find this place, having been hounded from the Tamba forum some time ago by psychos?

shabster · 24/04/2009 22:06

Blue I am:-

very tall
very slim
18 years old
in a relationship with robbie williams

OR......

4ft 11 inches
as wide as I am high
52 years old
married for 31 years

I so much prefer the first set of facts

frumpygrumpy · 24/04/2009 22:29

Shabs, doll, when will you click...............its an online forum......you are precisely the set of facts that appears in type. There was no need to re-type after the first set you typed Anyway, how is Rob? When you need a holiday, please can I look after him for you? I promise I will stroke him just where you tell me to and comfort him to your specifications and talk about you hourly, minute by minute. In return, can I lie on top of him as he sleeps?

DP late. Bringing in pizza on his way home. Will eat them in bed I think (is that disgusting?), watching Jonathon Ross in the dark. Bliss!

shabster · 24/04/2009 22:37

Yes you can look after him BUT no lying on top of him......

frumpygrumpy · 24/04/2009 22:38

I'm sure its someone's birthday.........................................

Happy Birthday Marsy!

I'd have wrapped it if it was possible much too large!

Dont worry rubester I will cover for you - no-one will ever know

shabster · 25/04/2009 08:50

Good morning girls xx

snorris · 25/04/2009 09:42

Morning.

Off to the hospital again in a bit with the rest of the tribe . Dd4 still pretty good yesterday but it looks like she'll be having oxygen at home too. She doesn't need much to keep her sats up to a level that they're happy with but still needs it, albeit just wafting in her general direction! Because of paperwork etc it's unlikely she'll be home before the middle of next week.

It's my turn (and dd5 ) to stay tonight so I won't be online here but luckily I can access Facebook & emails from my phone (and make calls obviously ).

Oh, belated Happy Birthday to Mars .

shabster · 25/04/2009 09:49

Oh Snorris - better news. I can still remember the heart ward Gareth was in. Machines beeping all day, boiling hot, poorly children everywhere who were mostly having a great time playing!!! whilst anxious Mums and Dads tried to pretend everything was 'fine thanks.'

What a week for you and yours!! Wish I had a magic wand to wave to make everything perfect. Give DD a big kiss from me....will be thinking about you all xxxxxxxxx

1stMrsF · 25/04/2009 13:41

Blue am intrigued by 'psychos' on Tamba forum. Do tell. As an expectant twin mum [am 37 weeks with non-id girls, ELCS booked for 1 May], it's good to be informed of these dangers...
