Times of Hope - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! They are delicious - well done to all of you.

My DIL had an horrendous time after she had a emergency c section with Lew. Today has been the first day I have seen her 'back to normal.' She has talked to me all day about how her plans and dreams went totally out of the window. She is still on AD's but they have helped her so much.

I cant stop looking at your pics TimesofH - Awwwwww so beautiful.

Im a MIL and I hope I dont make Em feel like you ladies feel. I am concious of how my MIL was with me and dont want mine and Em's relationship to be like that.
She said to my friend today 'I wouldn't go back to work unless I could leave Lew with Shabbs!!

MERLYPUSSEDASAFART · 01/12/2008 22:57

The reason I went feral is because of cultural differences between me and MIL and because I was feeling very blue after DTs arrival but didnt want to fess up. You, I am sure, arent and wont be anything like that. You should take that as a compliment. I wouldnt leave my lads with anyone apart from my middle sis and my mate Jane.

shabbypinkfrog · 01/12/2008 23:09

I was thrilled to bits when she said it. Many weeks went by after Lewis was born that I didn't see him - it broke my heart in two. I decided I would keep my big mouth shut and hoped that things would improve. They have, thank God, she just texted me to say that she had a lovley day and to thank me for the home made chilli con carne I sent home with them We have talked non stop today - as well as listen to the coughing dinosaur!!! All will be well xxxxxx

TOH.........................You very clever mummy, your daughters are absolutley beautiful, oh what lovely news, enjoy and I`m here to help!

Morning everyone else, had my scan yesterday to check my gynae bits and she couldnt find my right ovary at first! So she then had to do a vaginal scan..............most excitement Ive had in a long time Anyway afeter 40 mins of scanning she cant see anything wrong, so thats one area ok! Still have the pain, although this morning its hardly there, so surely if it was something more sinister it would be there all the time? Not sure what to do about trying another counsellor as I feel my issues are the things that drive me nuts in here, bedtimes etc, FG what dy think? Right off to the pub...............

HarktheHarrogateMumissinging · 02/12/2008 09:30

TOH - they are gorgeous - is it really three months since you were last on here!! I think that must have been around the time I was doing the round up in FG's absence - come on FG - bring back the round up!!!

Momma - is it your birthday - is it a special one....??!!!! Happy Birthday!! Have a bevy for me!

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 02/12/2008 09:30

Trips - ROFL about most excitement you have had in a long time. Proper guffawed!!!! Love, also, the 'off to the pub' bit. Glad it went well yesterday - I am very sure that your health problems are all due to stress.

Rubester - I am intrigued

estar · 02/12/2008 10:19

Hi all

TimesofHope - wow! and congratulations. Hope you're managing to soak up every minute. So many people have said to me recently (mine are 5) 'What was it like having twins?' and my usual reply is 'I can't remember - the first year was just a blur!'

What is it with all these people studying and writing essays? Especially Pixi - are you mad, woman?

Trips - hope you manage to find something to help relieve the pain soon. Glad Harry is doing ok.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 02/12/2008 10:22

Estar

Hiya - where have you been?

The piggin' snow has started again

estarofwonder · 02/12/2008 10:23

HM - am I allowed to suggest Christmassy names (well, you did ask!)

What about 'HarroGreatChristmas' or 'HarroGreatEscape'?

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 02/12/2008 10:27

Nice one

estarofwonder · 02/12/2008 10:28

Hi Shabs

I've been. y'know having a real life.

Sorry

We are soooo excited about Christmas - December 1st is the first day we are allowed to start thinking about it. So yesterday we opened advent calenders, then when they were home from school, we put on Christmas music and had a big crazy dance around/pile on. We are decorating our tree on Saturday, can't wait.

DS4 (now 13 months) was funny with his calendar. I opened the little door, took out the chocolate for him and broke it into smaller pieces. He picked up the pieces, put them back in the calendar and shut the door! It didn't take him long to work out what to do next though and he was soon drooling brown goo everywhere. Mmm...

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 02/12/2008 10:43

A real life? How very dare you

Im rubbish at Christmas. I get it together by the actual day but I hate the run up. I am really 'Bah humbug.' BUT being the great pretender that I am everybody in my family keeps telling me how great it is that I am so happy about Christmas [what on earth emoticon!] How weird that none of them ever think I am down in the dumps??????

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 02/12/2008 10:47

I've got Dan, Em and Lew plus us 3 for a full English breakfast on Christmas Day at some very early hour - then a couple of hours after they go my Mum, Dad and us 3 will be having Christmas dinner!!! Just cant wait [sarcastic emoticon] to do the cooking, cleaning, tidying up, hearing my H give me a full update of his health, Tom moaning about 'I hate vegetables' my Dad wrestling with Tom, My mum saying (in a loud whisper) 'he should be doing more around the house to help you' (meaning H)

Ohhhhhhh all together now 'Ding dong merrily on high, in heaven the bells are ringing!!'
