And next time, try to add "and I can see your pants"

frumpygrumpy · 17/12/2008 23:23

Closely followed by "made you look, made you look"

PMSL Frumpster - I will try and think of some good ones today as well.

OK - Im fast akip - DH and DS start stereo hacking coughing. DS is fast asleep so I open his window a tiny bit. Get back in my bed and rub DH's BACK - he turns over and tries to kiss me. WTF!!!! I thought it was 9.15am but - oh no - it was2.45am - I gave up, I came downstairs. I hardly have skin left on my lips but the hairs in my moustache are thriving (must be feeding off snot) everything I possess from the neck down is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sore. Most important, I am sick of hearing myself moan.

Been awake 90 mins already!!!

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 18/12/2008 06:11

OK so I have done all the silent jobs - that dont involve hoovers etc. Just watched 'Night garden' and have realised the joys that having Lewis will bring. Lewis is 16lbs 14ounces now. He is enjoying all food offered to him. Home made, baby jars, etc etc.

Oh Trips, one day at a time petal. I hope you can try to put it to the back of your mind and enjoy xmas all together. Really hoping the new year brings you good health and happiness.

estar, Must confess to laughing, I can just picture the look of joy on his face at being surrounded by so much cool stuff, must be like, well xmas.

shabs sorry to hear you're all down with the bugs too. Hopefully all out of the way in the next few days.

My dcs are finally on the mend, although still barking and snotting, dd1 having a few days in London so it's much quieter around here.

I had the beautiful Momma visit yesterday, poor angel sat and listened to me moan about what a tough year we've had and how fed up I am. I'm soooooo broke, it's costing £40wk on the bus for school journeys (council will not help, I've tried everything) and I may have to seriously think about home schooling ds1 if we want to carry on eating.

Momma brought me choc truffles, they barely survived the night. Yummy.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 18/12/2008 11:26

Hiya Pixie - always good to see you on here. Wish you're year had been easier - the New Year will bring big changes for you Im sure of that - just call me Septic Peg.

Just had an interesting text conversation with my son.....thought you may find it amusing. I almost shouted at him but tried to stay calm.

Dan: Hiya Mum - the contraceptive jab has affected Em like the pill did she is bleeding almost every day of the month.

Me: Well you kind of knew that would happen after her pill did the same.

Dan: I know but we still havent done IT yet and Lew is 6 months.

Me: You had un-protected piggin' sex once and Lewis was the result. I wouldn't be suprised if she never does IT again.

Dan: Charming!!!

frumpygrumpy · 18/12/2008 11:47

pixi, keep pushing, its all going to get easier once Prince can walk, talk and pee by himself. Promise xxx.

Shabs, wish you'd come here. I have something lying on the floor in every room and piles of things on every surface. Kids ALL here now, school finished yesterday lunchtime so........ aaaarrrrghghgh! DTs have the odd day at nursery though which is a help. I need to take DTs to their gym class, go to Tesco, dry my hair, write christmas cards and spend 'quality' time with my children to calm them down. And.............the lurgy has caught me this morning. I'm not too bad but I do have an aching body, neck, throat........I am pouring echinacea down my throat to try to fight it. I knew I should have slept more last week.

And breathe. One foot in front of the other. And breathe.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 18/12/2008 13:22

'Mighty know all' hasn't wrapped a thing yet - dont worry. Will wrap my eldest cheeky buggers mouth in sellotape if he carries on tho'

HarktheHarrogateMumissinging · 18/12/2008 13:30

ha ha. DH has kindly deigned to offer to help me with the wrapping tonight....how much do you want to bet he wraps about two gifts and then wanders off to "fix" something?

I've yet to wrap the dcs things, everyone else's has been made, wrapped and delivered.

Today I learned not to give out rice cakes while prince's in baby carrier if I do not want him to try to force feed me/smear my clothes/rub them into my chin etc.

I'm trying so hard to keep my patience with dt2. He made as much mess of his dinner as prince! Yesterday he headbutted the buggy so hard he tipped it backwards. And he screams so much. I can cope in the house but we get enough stares when we're out and about without him screaming his head off and attracting more attention. I'm really finding it a struggle to keep a happy face. He's so far behind dt1 (about 6mths now) I can't help but compare. She is pretty much an angel. I have no idea if he'll catch up and is just frustrated of if something is actually wrong with him, none of the others are like it.

I always feel so ungrateful to complain about the dcs, I wanted them and I'm lucky to have them, but somedays I spend almost the whole time being shouted/screamed/hit/kicked/etc. I know it should get easier when they're older (hopefully they'll have outgrown the violence) but I hate sitting here wishing my (and their) life away.

Just needed to rant a bit.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 18/12/2008 20:46

Pixie has he got any hearing problems? Tom had and his speech was very delayed. So much so that when he started nursery at just 3 he could read at least 200 words - but not say them properly. He could recite his 9 and 10 times tables but he couldn't get the right words out to say it out loud.

He would get so frustrated that he would bite me hard then bang his head in the floor over and over again.

In the end the hospital suctioned his ears and sorted out his problems.

Just a thought??

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 18/12/2008 22:43

Bucks Fizz

This song played all day every day when my DTS's were born. Deep snow, blizzards and Bucks Fizz blasting out from all the hospital radio's!!!

Makes me go all shuddery!!

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 18/12/2008 23:47

Helllllllllllllllllllllllooooo Hellllllllloooo - ooh just noticed its nearly midnight!!! Night night girls xx

frumpygrumpy · 19/12/2008 01:01

oh dear. I should be sleeping. Sleeping now.

Have wrapped 4 things. Have written about 5 christmas cards in the last few minutes but I must stop now as its so late. I refuse to get worked up about Christmas cards this year, its one thing that can go if it must. Really, they are daft except for a few lovely folks.

Pixi Rant on babe, rant on. If it helps then do.

piximon · 19/12/2008 07:49

I was too hasty to report dcs on the mend. DS1 woke in the night with tummy ache, had temperature of 39.6 this morning. So no last day of school for him. last day before xmas hols is the best day of school all year.

Has anyone heard from Mars? She's not answering my texts and I may have to brave calling her (I hate talking on the phone).

HarktheHarrogateMumissinging · 19/12/2008 09:22

Pixi I know how you feel. My DT1 is miles behind DT2. They turned 4 in NOvember but DT1 still has what I would describe as toddler tantrums and still will happily wet or poo himself if you dont take him to the toilet - there seems to be no connection between needing to go and actually going in his head. DT2 has been taking himself off to the loo for a year. DT2 can use the DVD player and the computer but DT1 screams with frustration because he cant. It is hard trying not to compare them but inevitable I think.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 19/12/2008 09:41

Morning girls.

Pixie - sorry the lurgy is still at yours. Still here too! Think I solved the prob of DH coughing every 15 seconds. I have shot him and put him under the flags in the back yard. JOKE...JOKE....JOKE...JOKE!!! Our room is the last to be carpeted - we just have 3 massive rugs at the moment. Yesterday I lifted the rugs and there was dust everywhere so I hoovered, then mopped. Simple I know but I hadn't even thought about it.

GP gave H steroids yesterday so the coughing has been better overnight.
