Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
shabster · 22/09/2008 22:26

I bet both blue and pink twin have MCFC babygro's!!! I was going to make our Lewis a 'junior blue' until I looked on the Man City website and noticed the fee of £50!!

I celebrated too much last night with my friends and have paid the hangover price all day.....

PazzaPlusTwo · 22/09/2008 22:31

oh no shabs, not a hangover monday, what a nightmare... too much apple juice?

i had a pint of bitter last week and a hangover for two days! it was organic as well that is supposed to help

accordiongirl · 22/09/2008 22:45

Pazza I'd take a good nanny over a good s* any day for getting your life together. Actually, now I come to think of it, they're both good (but definitely not AT THE SAME TIME).

Maybe if you hold your babies up to the window a passing nanny will stop her car and ring your bell!

accordiongirl · 22/09/2008 22:49

AG passes round chocolate brownies with cranberries in -dropped- -in- -by- -an- -angel- left over from tea.

Mmm don't you find that the sticky sweetness of the chocolate combines with the tarty sharpness of the cranberries in a way that is most pleasing to the palette?

Woops came over all that-bloke-off-masterchef then, it's the choccy!

accordiongirl · 22/09/2008 22:50

oh bother it's two hyphens for crossing out.

accordiongirl · 22/09/2008 22:54

Oh by the way, did anyone see me on the ITN 1.30 news on Thursday? (says AG forgetting noone knows what she looks like)

ITN is just round the corner from our playground and they're always sending people round with microphones to get talking heads about stuff. ANYWAY... they came round to talk about the sex education booklet thingie and they got me - mockney mum, talking about how governments shouldn't try to regulate interpersonal relations etc etc. Annoyingly, they didn't post the clip to their website, even though I've mailed them to ask them nicely, only the itemwhich is here

accordiongirl · 22/09/2008 22:55

so you can look at the empty clip box and imagine accordion girl having a rant in it!

Where's triplets tonight, hope she's ok?

triplets · 22/09/2008 22:56

I have been bad............had three large glasses of Tio Pepe, one diazapam and double egg and chips. This is
a to comfort me
b to knock me out so I can sleep
c because I dont care tonight, feel up to my arm pits with everything. Day started off with me in tears. H looked dreadful this morning and said he wanted us to go to Canterbury to just have a look around for ideas for Christmas, then have lunch as tomorrow is our big 30 a/v and as its chemo week we cant plan anything. He hasnt eaten with me for 10 days, was only managing soup twice a day, but since Sat nothing. I didnt want to go, said he was too tired and it didnt matter, we could do it when he felt better. He then exploded at me, and I ran off in tears. He said I was being negative, he was quite capable of driving to Canterbury and would go on his own. So we went, and he lasted unil 11.30am and back we came. He has eaten nothing, yet chemo again on Thurs, blood test tmorrow. I am dreading it, each one hits him harder. Praying this will be his 6th and final one for a while. I feel as thoughevery bone in my body is aching, my neck and head are sore, and I am sooooooooooootired. So off to bed girls, love you all and dont know what I would do without you xxxx

PazzaPlusTwo · 22/09/2008 22:57

My nutritious evening meal consisted of:

  • kinder bueno
  • glass of red
  • dried figs

it's like 'ready steady cook'!

pass us a brownie, maybe supernanny will jump out of it

do you think 'nice person I can get on with but is only really doing it for the money' beats 'nice girl loves babies but turned up 2 hours late for interview having got totally lost on bus despite not living very far away' or 'wait for qualified nanny who i can't afford anyway abut looks great on paper but will probably have two heads'

cant say that she is on mumsnet she might lurk on me!!! ha ha ha!!! If she goes around reading my MN posts she will at least know what to expect!

MarsLady · 22/09/2008 23:31

Momma... I adore you but I have one quick question which I emailed you!

I'm going to bed FG... stop shouting at me!

accordiongirl · 22/09/2008 23:37

By the way Pazza, wait for the qualified one. You need it for twins and you need it for you. And the extra expense will pay for itself in reliability, longevity and getting-your-life-on-the-rails-ity. Gumtree's always been the way for me, although you have to kiss a lot of frogs. Say the word if you fancy a north london MN get-together about this stuff, or a phone call at least - I believe we have a mutual acquaintance, Peter the lindy-hopping, rubiks-cube-collecting architect... and I'm just down the way in kings cross.

frumpygrumpy · 22/09/2008 23:37

I hereby resurrect Radio GaGa

I remember a day, when I felt very shit, and I played this in my dining room, very loud. I held DD1 in my arms and just sang and sang and dance and danced with her over and over until she stopped crying and fell asleep on me. It was winter and it was dark and I was persistently alone with a baby who never slept and who cried most of her waking hours.

Bono wrote this for his good friend Michael Hutchence [swoon]

It rang through to me that, sometimes, we are all just "stuck in a moment". Ruby, Pazza, Trips, Shabs, Mars, et al ......its just a moment that we can't get out of. This time will pass.

Remember girls, use your fanyards or lose them
