Hiya Merly - you ok love?

triplets · 15/09/2008 21:49

Hi ladies..............peace and total quiet and its only 21.45pm, as you all know thats a record here. Poor H not had a good day, side effects hitting him hard, in his bed by 8pm. Kids went up at 9pm, promised they would be good and bless them, not a sound. phoned the oncologist today to ask if we could possibly get away for a week after seeing her on the 9th, said it was ok, as long as it was for no more than a week and not too far incase we are needed............yes Mam!

shabster · 15/09/2008 21:52

Hiya Trips - sad that H is not feeling great but that you are being given leave to go on holiday. Hope you saluted when you got permission xx

MERLYPUSS · 15/09/2008 22:02

TRIPS - Sorry that DH is rough again. Maybe you will find your break away ? Try the YHA site. I've not stayed in one for years but you never know .....
We are going away this time next week for a few days and I am putting off list writing til the last minute. I hate packing with a vengence and I have no idea of what to take for DTs. Bought them some super funky hats at the weekend so hopefuly it will be too warm for them to wear them. I shall be taking them back if they are not used.
DSIS has booked a Greek restaurant for dad's b/day next month. First meal out for DTs. I am sure I can allow them to have a breadstick. (if I dont scoff the lot)

MERLYPUSS · 15/09/2008 22:02

SHABBY - Hiya mooface

shabster · 15/09/2008 22:05

triplets · 15/09/2008 22:06

Hows Maddison today Shabs?

shabster · 15/09/2008 22:10

There has been a lot of giggling and emails flying backwards and forwards

Puberty is rushing into my house - making me feel old, tired and more than a bit redundant.

triplets · 15/09/2008 22:48

Still searching for that week away

shabster · 15/09/2008 22:52

Dont envy you Trips

MERLYPUSS · 15/09/2008 23:00

I know the words for (amongst others)
Tosser
Hoover
Stove
Dog
and
Wood
Do you think any of these will be of use?

shabster · 15/09/2008 23:05

You might as well be Greek Merly!!!

Ela Ela - works well, think it means 'get your bum over here right now Mr. Waiter.

shabster · 15/09/2008 23:10

My friend, Nikos, speaks the best English especially when he thought he was talking to his english girlfriend, Amy, on MSN!!!!

It took him about 5 mins to realise it was me. I was told me I had eyes like puddles of chocolate (they are hazel!) and that I was the most beautiful woman he had ever met.

Let him message and then there was a few seconds and the funniest message 'Shaarrron Shaarron, this is you, yes? I so sorry I thinking to myself I long to be with Amy. You forgive me, yes? Shaarron please to stop putting LOL LOL - I so sorry.!'

MERLYPUSS · 15/09/2008 23:18

My (gay) friend and his life partner have a house in crete. It is an old olive press that they are doing up. It's glorious. He has tought himself greek and prides himself in trying to speeka da lingo to the shopkeepers (translating via phrasebook) rather than result to English. He was buying a sombre (stove) and had looked up the words for wood so that he could buy firewood for it. Aparently the word for wood is very similar to the word dog. He asked the shopkeeper for some small dogs to burn. Hmm. Ha ha.

MERLYPUSS · 15/09/2008 23:19

Off to bed now. Night lovely peeps.

shabster · 15/09/2008 23:28

Night love - PMSL about burning dogs!!

triplets · 15/09/2008 23:30

Why am I suddenly feeling very fed up, got any bombay mix Shabs?

shabster · 15/09/2008 23:36

Wish I had Trips - my favourite - along with nuts, crisps and anything spicy and salty.

shabster · 15/09/2008 23:43

Just talked to my niece. On Saturday Shelley, her husband and three of the children are supposed to be going on holiday for a week to Menorca - the first proper holiday, first time on a plane etc etc. Beth is supposed to be staying at Derian House - a beautiful hospice close to us. She loves going to stay there and it gives my niece a rest as well.

She has been poorly again today and Shelley doesn't know if she should go on holiday or not. I offered to go and visit Beth everyday and spend the day with her. My niece is thinking about it but she is torn. So afraid to go and afraid to not go. Dont understand all this sadness - do you Trips. Why should a precious child be so ill?

The doctors have told Shelley to go BUT she has no idea what to do.

triplets · 15/09/2008 23:43

Shabs, we had better climb the wooden stairs, ohh not together that is if you have no nuts Im off..............feel shattered yet dont think I will sleep well. Sagapo and kale nits, must re start radio Ga Ga!
