cheers shabs - things not great here

went to see midwife on thursday and she wants me to stay off work. She thinks I am heading towards ante natal depression, I'm not, I'm just exhausted. DH working very long hours 7 days a week and dts are running me ragged.

We are all on leave soon so maybe some rest/help. My parents are away on holiday so I have no support, apart from friends who all have their own dcs.

I am seeing the gp tomorrow. I just can't manage everything at the moment and something has to give. I am really enjoying work but know that it is the only thing I can take a break from

shabster · 11/08/2008 09:37

Oh sweetheart - wish I was closer to maybe help a bit. Depression and fatigue are crap. Our Ems is not great - finally got some AD's from Doctor which are helping. She looks exhausted. Lew only wants her to hold him, look after him etc etc - he raises the roof when they come here. I had forgotten just how much an 8 week old baby could scream I have been saying he is 11 weeks for ages!! Think I lost my marbles along the way as well.

Hope things improve for you soon. Having children is sodding hard work isin't it?

Take care of yourself - please xx

hey Shabs and Oooggs! Oooggs which bit of Cornwall are you in? We are going to be going to somewhere near Liskeard, cant remember the name of the village, but its some farm cottages with a shared pool and riding and stuff - making the most of the DTs not being at school until next Sept so going for last 2 weeks of June.

Hi Rubester and welcome home
What a frustrating day again girls, feel very pi - - ed off (as I dont swear) tonight. Dh went off at 10am this morning to the hospital to have the new picc line inserted for chemo to resume (after 6 weeks)on Thurs. I decided to stay here with the kids and do some turning out, otherwise it would have meant trailing them around Canterbury for hours and coming home broke! At 3pm Dh phoned to say they had cancelled it! Why? They had forgotten he was self injecting for the blood clot, so becaused he had injected as instructed at 9am they would nt do it!They had not put it in the letter! So now he has to go back at 8.30am on Weds, and they are going to try to do it in the chemo unit instead of the day surgery unit. Rememeber two weeks ago they tried twice at the chemo unit and couldnt do it!!So, once again its fingers xd for Weds so chemo can restart on Thurs. He was justifiably cross when he got home, but has been really grumpy all night, esp with me and went off to bed at 9.30pm!! Twas not my fault

triplets · 11/08/2008 23:28

Are you all in bed? I have no-one to talk to, boo hoo......ok, I`m off to, night night one and all xx

ps what happened to the weekly roundup?

charleymouse · 11/08/2008 23:29

Trips are you still there?

triplets · 11/08/2008 23:34

I am Charliemouse!

charleymouse · 11/08/2008 23:36

Hiya
still need to talk? Sorry H has had a pants day, sometimes they just take it out on us as we are the closest to them.

triplets · 11/08/2008 23:38

I am ok, getting used to it, its been nothing but ups and downs for 14 years! Did you ever get that barn finished? Where abouts are you?

charleymouse · 11/08/2008 23:41

Yes I am sat in my barn now in bed. I am in Sheffield so up north not as far as Shabs though. Not quite finished yet but enough to move into.

charleymouse · 11/08/2008 23:43

I cooked my first proper meal here on Saturday as the hob and microwave were wired in last week. I need to get the kitchen sink plumbed in next.

Just peeked at your pics your DD is gorgeous, can see why H is worried. I think my DH wll be just the same a few years from now.

triplets · 11/08/2008 23:45

I have just peeped at your lovely pics! We went to Sheffield last year to visit Dh old Aunty, lives in a funny place called Painted Fabrics!

charleymouse · 11/08/2008 23:47

Are you expecting a disaster do I need to get the kids evacuated? Next door has a bomb shelter in his garden so you can always send the kids here if you need to. He opened it up last week and we were quite disappointed to find it just a brick built bunker with nothing in it.

triplets · 11/08/2008 23:49

Oh the photo, that was taken in July, the kids were in yr 5 and doing a project on WW2 and had to go dressed as evacuees! I hate sewing! They really enjoyed it, think it made them realise what an awful time it was for most people.

charleymouse · 11/08/2008 23:51

well next time you are up this way pop in that is the other side of town from me but is not far.

charleymouse · 11/08/2008 23:52

Phew thats a relief was starting to panic as I don't have many tinned goods in but we do have blackout blinds.

triplets · 11/08/2008 23:53

Would love to! Better go to bed, DH has an early morning blood test, yuk! Nothing but hospitals and needles atm, sometimes I don`t feel very brave, and its not even me who is having them! Thank you for your company xx

charleymouse · 11/08/2008 23:57

Trips you are very brave and strong for the rest of them. Sometimes we just need someone to be strong for us though. Hope H gets sorted this week and chemo can resume as planned on Thursday. Take care and look after yourself. Love CM
