Oh Momma, how long was his hose

tkband3 · 09/08/2008 20:32

Oh Momma, it's the day after I go on hols, so I won't be able to make it . I won't even be around for the cyber-hen night either , although your real life one last night sounds like fun! A friend of mine had 4 strippers at her hen night - they got progressively worse (or better, depending on how you look at it ) until the last one and she were doing I don't know what under his cloak. And her future MIL and SIL were there .

FG, hope the anti-b's are helping and not hurting too much. I hate anti-b's as well - they make me really depressed and emotional so I avoid them as much as possible. But cystitis is horrid, horrid, horrid - my MIL suffers a lot, and always regales me with tales of her latest bout each time I see her (which frankly is TMI from an MIL ).

Mars, hope the toothache has gone away...will we see you before you go to Marseille? We are free Tues and Weds if you're around. Otherwise we go away on 20th so won't manage a meet-up before the schools go back.

Trips, your evening sounds just lovely - well, last night does anyway . Hope the troops are settling down now.

LG&T, your troubles down below sound way worse than mine. I have always been quite lucky with periods - I just thought the Mirena sounded good. Not bleeding today though - first time in 2 weeks, so will see how it goes.

Fifi was lovely - well the girls thought it was lovely and were dancing in the aisles at the end . It was lovely to watch their faces watching the show.

Pixi, do you have somewhere to lay your hat next weekend? You're welcome here if not.

Shabs, I'm right there with you - RW can dangle his tackle in my face any time he wants .

Hello HM! Talking of meet-ups...are we doing another one in London?

Right, DH is on his way home with the curry and I'm hungry. Think we might watch Brief Encounter, which I've never seen before.

MarsLady · 09/08/2008 20:35

TK... not sure. I'm waiting to see if my client escapes hospital in which case I'll be with her.

Looks like we may have to wait until after you're back. DT1 keeps saying... when are we seeing the little girls? Can they come to my house? Can I do a sleepover? Where's their mummy? etc.

Shame you're away. We could've crashed Momma's wedding popped down to Devon for the day (like you do!)

Trips... you should escape them all and come visit!

FG - have you tried bicarb and water. It tastes truly vile but neutralizes your pee so it's not like acid. I usually do 1tsp to a tumbler and down it quick over the sink in case it comes straight back up (TMI)

So where is everyone tonight? We had a nice day out, took the kids to the Shell Grotto at Margate, its on Grotto Hill, but we soon renamed it Grotty Hill, even worried about leaving our car there, so run down. But the visit was worth it, its underground tunnels, discovered accidently in the early 1800s, the whole network is shells, beautifully and painstakingly covering the walls. To this day no-one knows exactly how old they are and who built them and why! Then we went down to Margate beach, havent been there for over 20 years, and it hasnt changed. A tacky place, run down amusement arcades etc, but the most wonderful huge clean sandy beach, we sat at one of the beach cafes and had fishn chips and it was really good. Then we walked along the beach, past the open air pool and Becca got her first view of a naked man!!!! He was just lying there, and no Adonis either!! Then we went to Halfords and bought a bike carrier so that Harry van now take all the kids out instead of just the boys................thankfully it won`t hold my bike as well Hope all you poorly folk are better, Shabs, hope all is well in your camp, H off to hospital in the morning to have a new picc line inserted, then we are back on the chemo coaster on Thurs!

shabster · 10/08/2008 21:56

Hiya trips - good to see you. I love shells, I mean really love them - mind you, have always been very weird.

We are settled, happy, and absolutly stoney broke!! Dan, Em and Lew came for their dinner. Em looks a bit down and very spaced out....she just started on some new AD's. Lew adores our Tom and sits smiling at him, he quite likes DH but screams crying at me!!

Dan and Em are going out on the 23rd of this month to celebrate the anniversary of their first date!! Think it is 9 years - poor owd Lew gets to come here for a few hours. If he could do a rude sign at me I think he would!! Wonder if its because I am sometimes frightened of him and he picks it up from me?? Oh Trips he is frighteningly like our Gareth - It takes my breath away. xx

shabster · 10/08/2008 22:04

Will be back in a little while - tomster is checking up on the wrestling!!! Speak soon xx

triplets · 10/08/2008 22:06

Hi Shabs, I know what you mean, Tom Tom had his hair cut quite short on Frid and it was just as though Matthew walked through the door, he is getting more and more like him as he gets older. To be very honest though I find it such a comfort, I know hes not Matthew, especially when he goes off on one, but for me its lovely, everyone else saw it too, the minute he was born, just like Lewis, it is meant to be Shabs, meant to be. H has gone up to bed, hes really tired and the two boys are doing their usual nightime act. I am giving them 5 more mins then I am pulling out the bed settee for one of them, dont know why I havent thought of that before, it was a suggestion from their godmother!! Glad you all had you Sunday dinner together, things are coming around. How is Derkster these days?

shabster · 10/08/2008 22:53

Same as always!!!

snorris · 10/08/2008 22:53

Hi all!

Trying to stay awake to watch the Olympics. The bit I really want to see is live at 1am through to 5am . Oh well,if I succumb to sleep the highlights are on at 4pm tomorrow .

I had my 20 week scan on Weds and a consultant had good look at the baby's heart. Thankfully all appears to be ok so I can relax a bit now. Looks like it's probably another girl!! Hopefully should be able to change my consultant (phew!). It was quite funny as the one I don't like kept walking through the waiting room and Dh & I were giving her evil stares behind her back. Childish I know ,but it made me feel better .

shabster · 10/08/2008 22:58

Hiya snorris - wait till I tell tomster that you think baby is another girl.....he will go mad!!! At the moment he is really OFF females - says they are just stress and bossy!!!

Seriously though - who cares? So relieved for you that no abnormalities were found in babys heart. Its a scary time isint it? Hope you can really relax now.

So good to see you on here!

MarsLady · 10/08/2008 23:00

Good news there snorris!

Well my big kids are home and so the pc is finally free but I'm knackered and just want my bed... go figure! lol
