Chops that's lovely. You should take a photo, so even if something happens to the original you'll always have a copy.

Now is there any news from Momma?

piximon · 08/08/2008 16:37

FG - drink tons of cranberry juice, I swear by it.

triplets · 08/08/2008 17:43

Just made the sangria.........might be going alone H in bed feeling tired........where are my castanets?

largeginandtonic · 08/08/2008 17:46

Hooray Shabs!!!!

FG how is it now?

Chops you should write a cookery book! Yum, recipies when you have time please

frumpygrumpy · 08/08/2008 17:54

don't you just hate it when you type a message and lose everything.......

frumpygrumpy · 08/08/2008 17:57

it was along the lines of:

LG&T, thank you for asking, couldn't get docs, got sachets from pharmacy.....we'll see......

Pixi, have found a missing bit from the pirate ship, the crows nest, will send next time.

Trips, hope you go anyway even if H is too tired (although the rest might help). You'll be needing your flamenco dress and shoes too.....I have two. Both bright pink with black dots and frills with matching shoes and some hair flowers. One age 4, one age 7. You can squeeze into one of them right?

frumpygrumpy · 08/08/2008 17:57

Kelly yum!

frumpygrumpy · 08/08/2008 17:59

I don't do sleepovers........

We have a little girl coming any moment for one. Her mum asked if she could because she doesn't want to go on the school trip next March and she thought it would help. Help! Does that mean I can't have any wine? I might need to drive her home if she really hates it!!!! My plan is to serve up DVD and popcorn and put them to bed late. Is Nanny McPhee too terrifying? DP got it today...........

largeginandtonic · 08/08/2008 19:23

Drink the wine you may need it, as parent of child it is her responsibility to pick up distressed child at 2am.

Nanny McPhee is blimmin fanatastic! I love it, tis a great movie and all kids love it. Covers the whole age range imho.

Sachets should knock it on the head if it is in early stages.

We found out this week that dd has a horseshoe shaped kidney. Something else that goes with Turners Syndrome, poor girl. No plan of action but keep a close eye, if she gets wee infections they can be very nasty and the pain can be debilitating as her kidneys are slightly enlarged and join across the top by more kidney tissue. The reflux can be terrible. She will be rone to kidney stones too

Honestly i feel this may never end, it is like unwrapping a very unwelcome pass the parcel. We get handed round to various docs who all find something new to worry about.

Wish i could sink a bottle of wine, not sure that is baby friendly though, depends whos report you read!

Just popping on v. quickly to say Momma, Merly and Oooggs, you should get parcels either tomorrow or Monday - sorry for being crap and taking so long to get them in the post.

Have had a week of feeling v. low and fed up - after nearly 2 months of this blooming coil am still constantly bleeding and I'm sure I'm a lot more moody and impatient with the girls as well. I'm seeing the doc week after next to talk about having it taken out - as DH says, there's not a lot of point having it in if I never feel like sex anyway .

Must dash, dinner nearly ready.

frumpygrumpy · 08/08/2008 20:44

LG&T about your DD. Wonder why Turners and kidneys go together.... This is a big learning curve. How does she feel about it all? Did you whip any of your eggs away or are you as yet undecided?

TKB, I didn't realise you were so low. Can we help any? I haven't tried the coil but I know its talked about on MN loads. Have you posted in health about it?

Momma is it your hen night? ish? How fabulous!!!! Me and Mars will don our L plates any moment and whip in in the chopper, Trips will be wearing Flamenco, Shabs a knitted Sweaty Ferret tee and, and, and.......ooh c'mon everyone WHAT ARE YOU WEARING TO MOMMA'S HEN?

(LG&T, if the wee lass doesn't like it, I'll take her home. Mummy is widowed and at home with the other weans. She has been before for play dates and always been a bit tricky but tonight, so far, very, very sweet.)

largeginandtonic · 08/08/2008 21:13

< comes in dressed in a bright pink cat suit with killer heels and a tiara >

No egg harvest yet as i was pregnant at the time of diagnosis just didnt twig for another 2 months. The consultant is not being helpful about it but i have done my research and it can be done. The law only lets you freeze them for 10 years though so i am hoping it changes in time so they can remain frozen as she is unlike;y to want children when she is 18. They wont pay for it either as far as i can see, it is about £2-3000. I could donate half and freeze half if i have a good hharvest which may mean sharing the cost.

Hateful that it comes down to money but there we are!

Right am off out with Momma

wait for meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

MERLYPUSS · 08/08/2008 22:01

TK - sorry you have been feeling ropey. I was offered being forced into the coil as I have very heavy periods. I am about to google endometrial ablation as I have fibroids and, like you, have been bleeding and feeling shite for far too long.
Trips - can just picture you wearing an age 7 flamenco dress sounds very fetching. Just read about that nob nasty lady on the other site. What an absolute moo-face. Ignore the heffer.
Went to Docklandia yesterday to see DP's workmates with DTs. Rammed a few 'suits' with the double buggy as it was heaving. Fed yoghurt to boys, changed 2 poopy nappies and went to DPs work. Very, very posh office. It was then that I noticed that I had yoghurt in my hair and Thomas had pooped on my jeans. (DPs office was full of beautifully turned out and suited people). How to make you feel really small and insignificant eh ?

tkband3 · 08/08/2008 22:30

Thank you FG, it's nothing in particular, which is why I think it might be attributable to the coil. The one I have (Mirena) releases a small amount of hormone - even smaller than the mini-pill, but I haven't been on the pill for over 6 years so I'm just not used to it. I saw the doc a couple of weeks ago for a check-up and she said all my symptoms were, unfortunately, to be expected, and that I should try and give it 6 months to see if it settles down. Not sure I can wait that long but I'll see what they say next time I see them. In the long run, the advantages of this coil are that I might end up with no periods at all and it is supposed to be even more effective than vasectomy, but I don't feel like I'm a very nice person to be around at the moment and it''s not a very nice feeling . I'm also constantly tired (more than usual) and I'm sure it's making eat more than usual. Although, having decided I probably will have it removed and having made the appointment, I already feel better.

Trips, was horrified to read what that awful woman said to you. Good for you for getting her blocked. Hope you are enjoying your spanish evening.

Shabs, glad to hear things are improving for Dan and Em. Hope Beth is stable.

FG, sorry the email to Momma didn't work. The only solution I can think of is that you type your email in word and send it as an attachment via me - I promise not to read it!!

LG&T, poor you and poor DD. I read your other thread about the difficulties you are having with her. Hope you manage to get somewhere with a SALT.

DD1 has been with my mum for a couple of days, no doubt being spoilt rotten . I'm taking the DTs with me to pick her up tomorrow and we're all going to see a Fifi and the Flowertots show - what joy .

frumpygrumpy · 08/08/2008 23:26

TKB, hell! I get very heavy, painful periods with lumps and they come every 3 weeks or less. The coil was mentioned when I went to the docs a few months ago........hope yours does settle v soon. Hope Fifi is good There is a certain amount of stress taking kids to show I find. But, its always lovely tucking them in at night and hearing what they got from it. Sing loud!

I don't have a secret email to send Momma but thanks. I just wanted to make the line of communication open. Damned if I know why it doesn't work.

Jeez LG&T, I wore an L plate and you come as, a vixen!!!

Merly don't worry, they probably just thought you have thrush and got some yoghurt on your hair during application. And those immaculate women.........they had to go back to their desks. You meantime, (to them) walked free out the door into your happy loved-up life.

The wee lass staying over has finally gone quiet. She told me bedtime is usually about 6pm in her house. She's almost 8!!!!!!!! My DD1 goes to bed 7.30/8pm on a school night but they were chatting til just before 11pm. I'm going to bed now. I just feel a broken night/v early morning coming on.

Trips, do us a favour love....when you finally drag your Spanish ass back in here, put some strong coffee on the hotplate for me. Ta hen xxxxx . Hope you've had a great night, you deserve it!!

cold shower required.

shabster · 09/08/2008 01:14

triplets · 09/08/2008 08:22

Hola and buenos dias,
Had a really fab time last night, scrummy food, ate too much and drank too little H did go and we walked there and back, uphill and downhill! My friend made a Nigella icecream cake, OMG I am not an icecream fan usually as I don`t like cream, but this was brilliant. Shop bought tub of ordinry vanilla, add broken bourbon biscuits, crunchie bars and honey roasted nuts, mix altogether, shavings of choc on the top and freeze! I quite fancy doing it with maltesers, great standby for emergency entertaining! No plans for the w/end, what are you all up to? Hope Beth has improved Shabs xx

triplets · 09/08/2008 08:24

FG.............WILL POP THE DRESSES BACK IN THE POST, THEY LOOKED FETCHING:O

largeginandtonic · 09/08/2008 10:01

TK i meant to say before that i had the mirena fittied after dd was born 7 years ago for the same reasons as you. I was promised the EARTH with it. I had it taken out after the 6 months was up as i bled constantly It was dreadful, i put on 3/4 of a stone and felt very sick for the first 4 weeks or so too.

I have incredible heavy, painful periods it runs in the family. My mum had a hysterectomy when she was 32 after she had my sister. I fully expect to be the same. I have looked in to the ablation that they offer now but i am not sure, the 2 periods i hade before i conceieved this time sent me a bit doolaly too, normally it is just the pain and heaviness of them.

My sis does not really have the heaviness but hers are painful and she is positively PSYCHOTIC around them. They have just given her a laparoscopy and found endometriosis on her ovaries. I suspect my mum and i have it but in our uterus which makes them heavy and last such a long time.

I bleed for about 7 days then it seems to tail off then starts all over again, some months i have had to go to the doc to be put on prgesterone to stop the bleeding. I think this is because i bleed from the endometrial sites when the other regular bleeding has stopped. I am usually not too bad for a few months after having a baby then the endometrial sites have a chance to build up and it just gets worse and worse.

Joy of being a girl hey? Think i will have it all taken out when i am finished having this one.

I have tried everything in the past, having babies is the only thing to stop it!!! I cant do that forever

shabster · 09/08/2008 10:11

Good morning girls.

Trips your night sounded so lovely. I havent got a sweet tooth but I do love ice cream. Glad H went.

Beth is still exactly the same. Poor little love - it is 6 days since they took her into intensive care. My niece must know how I feel about the hospital - I keep saying 'do you want me to come down, can I help, what can I do?' Shelley keeps replying 'I wouldn't do that to you Aunty Shabs, it would break your heart all over again and thats not fair. Might need you to look after my other 3 that would be a massive help.'

I have spent many hours in that hospital and its overwhelming.

frumpygrumpy · 09/08/2008 10:51

cystitis getting worse. Peeing blades Off to phone NHS24 to see if they can direct me to a doc where I can get something. The Boots sachets and the 5 pints of water are doing bugger all.

shabster · 09/08/2008 10:55

OMG Frumpster that hurts. Good luck mate. xx

MarsLady · 09/08/2008 11:04

Morning all. For the second day runnning I have toothache

My house is empty. Well not quite empty, I have the DTs but the big ones aren't back before tomorrow. It's rather strange and actually harder to get anything done because I have no built in babysitters during the days. Sigh..

Anyhoo... off to pop the ibruprofen!
