Morning. Just woke up!! x

shabster · 05/08/2008 09:58

Danny has been sent home from work on full pay for two weeks His boss, normally a strict horror of a man, found him sobbing in the loo. He just rang me and I told him about Beth and said I wanted to talk to both of them at mine. He hasn't heard me cry for many years but I have wept buckets during our phone call.

It seems to have stirred him into action. I didn't know but Em and Lewis have stayed at her mums for several nights. He is on his way to the house and is going to get the pair of them and all their stuff and bring them home. He has his 'no more, lets sort it' head on - thank God. Ive told him to bring Lews pram and we will walk him round while they have a talk.

Ems mum has been encouraging her to stay and telling her that Dan will get fed up of her being away but that she can manage on her own I couldn't ring her last night - maybe someone was telling me to leave it?

Keep your fingers crossed girls - xxx

shabster · 05/08/2008 10:10

mummylin2495 · 05/08/2008 10:59

frumpygrumpyhasPMT · 05/08/2008 13:06

Oh Shabs

Everyone has to talk, talk, talk, talk, talk and be totally, totally honest. I'll be sending my strong vibes your way. I hope it all turns out the best it possibly can xxxxxx.

Trips! How's the machine? Was is Jeremy?

PazzaPlusTwo · 05/08/2008 14:58

hello

Shabs i have just about caught up with the goings-on. thinking of you, Dan&Em&Lew and Beth

I have got PND too, it is quite horrible. FWIW I would do the ironing and try not to worry about her being at her mums. it will hopefully get better soon.

xxx

PazzaPlusTwo · 05/08/2008 15:05

shabs do you want me to send you FG's book on PND - I found it helpful. Scary at times, but helpful. made me feel "yes this is scary, but it's normal, there's a reason, i'm not going mad, and i'm not 'wrong' or 'bad' for feeling like this and for doing whatever i have to do to cope"

if so, email me your address to:
p dot scheurer at surface-to-air.com

pophas2beans · 05/08/2008 15:57

Hello - me agian. Hope you are all well. I need to pick your brains please.

My hospital have asked me if I would like to take part in a trial where I may get the chance to have a silicon cap fitted around my cervix. see here

I may end up in the 50% that don't get this but just medical management. I'm not really sure what to do. I figure that if I do get the chance to have the silicon implant then it can either work or not work and no harm will be done by trying.

What do you think?

frumpygrumpyhasPMT · 05/08/2008 18:36

Hi Pazza, glad you found it useful. Its not the most detailed of books on managing PND but I found it really helpful to read about the varying experiences. How's your day by day? Email me if you'd rather talk there.

Shabs, hope all ok x.

pop, I don't have proper time right this minute to read the link but I will and report back.

tkband3 · 05/08/2008 18:44

Just dashing in - it's bedtime in 2 minutes!

Shabs, hope things have been sorted out a bit today. Have been keeping fingers crossed for Beth.

Pop, no time to read link - will try to later .

Momma, did you get an email from me? I've lost your address - can you send it to me as I'm hoping to get to the post office tomorrow.

And FG, I got your email, sorry haven't had a chance to reply . Haven't heard from Momma myself - hope I'm not now having the same problem . I'll forward something on to you soon, I promise!

Had friends round for dinner Sat night (surpassed myself with the most amazing chocolate moussey cakey thing for pudding), out for lunch Sun for my mum's birthday, picnic lunch yesterday, out for pizza with girls and DH for lunch today and dinner tonight, just the two of us...diet is not going well .

PazzaPlusTwo · 05/08/2008 19:14

Shabs i hope they are sorting it all out, how worrying for you. Point her in this direction bless her.

Pops i have not heard of the procedure, why are they offering it to you? Have been away so excuse me if you have already said. If you have a history of prem labour i would say go for it, otherwise probably not. I wouldnt mess with anything down there unless absolutely necessary. What do you think?

Trips how is the washing machine? Ours died earlier this year and i bought a massive capacity one, i fecking love it. Best money ever spent. Hope it is ok

oooggs · 05/08/2008 19:50

pazza - hope things improve soon

FG - your words are amazing and I hope Em gets in contact

trips - yuk - slug in bed - a mothers love

pops - will read in a mo

shabs - hope things improve for Dan and Em and her mum is probably trying to do the best for her daughter but....... it isn't helping the family unit much - hope Dan stays strong for them both and gets things on track

shabster · 05/08/2008 21:12

Will come on in a little while. Beth just the same, heavily sedated, on a ventilator and in intensive care. BUT no worse.

Lots sorted out between Dan and Em

Have painted toms room, laid a carpet, done all the normal housework and snuggled with Lew.

Back laters. Dont want Tommy reading over my shoulder. xxx

tkband3 · 05/08/2008 22:22

Sorry momma, didn't mean to hassle you - just hoped we weren't unable to connect like you and FG . Got your email, will put sleeping bags in post to you, Oooggs and Merly either tomorrow or the next day.

MERLYPUSS · 05/08/2008 22:51

night-night folks. Out tomorrow so may not be around ...?
Thinking of Beth and everyone else that needs a cyber hug.
