We have had a great day. My dad gave me some money towards carpets so by this time next week we should be ok!! I love my dad - he always helps even though they dont have very much money. He made me sob buckets when he gave it to me this morning.

Tom went on a spending spree in Bolton - he bought an acoustic guitar with all the accessories, some more wrestling figures, pokemon book, and a new CD with all his favourites on - mainly rap music and dance stuff Dan and Em bought him lovely Adidas trainers - we never, ever buy 'labels' so thanks Dan for starting him off! They are coming up in a little while and have bought him an ipod as well

He wants guitar lessons.

....and Trips sod off dont think any more babies

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMBOY

Does that mean we are allowed to smother him in Aunty kisses? And hug him too tight?

My mum family are laying subtle pressure down. I am standing firm. I hate it.

I've been busy and too busy to get anything for the nice dose of thrush I have

Hope you all have fun Ruby!

Pixi, what postage costs? I will send the 'copter with a parcel

Where is Pazza? I hope she is not lurking without posting....... did you see my message to you? Fancy the book? Email me.......please........

piximon · 24/07/2008 21:34

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMSTER, guitars are ace, my ds1 (5) was bought one recently on a rare visit from FIL and is now pestering for lessons. There are some really good books out there to teach yourself so ds1 now saving up for one.

FG, are you going to do another challenge anneka and jump out with the parcel? Would be wonderful to see you. I'd be more than happy with just the stained bits you know. just read that back.

Momma thanks for the recipe, going to trial it this weekend (although I'm a hopeless rice cooker, Mars told me off when she saw me cooking some).

shabster · 24/07/2008 22:03

Put a few new photos on my profile. Tom has had a lovely day and says thank you to everybody for all their 'ace messages!'

Good morning girls - everybody happy?

pophas2beans · 25/07/2008 08:12

hello everyone. I've been invited over to your by some lovely people who saw my last post. Here is what i have put on my other thread:

'I had a scan today that didn?t go too well. I?ve been referred to Kings College in London and have an appointment to see them on Wednesday.

There were some questions over the nuchal fluid test that need double checking and as to whether the babies are in the same sac. At one of my earlier scans I was told that this was the case but today was told that it?s not a good thing for them to be in the same sac and that if that is the case then there is a very high fatality rate. The sonographer today discovered a thin membrane that looks like it could be separating the babies in the placenta which is good and means they will be fine but Kings College will be able to run further tests and confirm this for us.

I'm not to nervous at the moment but I imagine I will be come Wednesday'.

Also -

'Does anyone know anything about downs stats? The sonographers computer was playing up a bit so she couldn't give the correct stats to me. Hoping kings can!! One measurement was 2.2mm and one was 1.9mm. The stats came out as 1 in 314 and one in 469. is this really a cause for concern?'

Thanks so much for listening to me ramble on. It's lovely to get it off my chest. I've been playing the positive person to DH as he is such a worrier but I think deep down I'm panicing a bit too.

shabster · 25/07/2008 08:36

Morning pophas - stay around here lots of very lovely multiple mums.

The only advice I can give is that my fourth son had a 'score' of 1 in 180 and I was almost 41 when I had him. Thankfully he is healthy, clever and a delight.

Im sure someone will be along soon who will be much more 'in the know' than I am

Lovely to meet you by the way. xx

shabster · 25/07/2008 08:41

Congratulations by the way on twins - so special. Lovely profile pictures - your DD is adorable and lovely name

tkband3 · 25/07/2008 10:28

Pixi Mars gave me some rice-cooking advice when she was here . I over-cook rice so consistently I'd resorted to those boil-in-the-bag ones .

Pop I've replied on your other thread re the scan thing.

hi grrrls!

just catching up from page 2 ... thx AG and FG! ... had another mad week a bit, too much traffic and doctors! having an r&r day with a large dose of 'd'y ever' as a pick-me-up!

xx

PazzaPlusTwo · 25/07/2008 14:36

momma - that 'what mothers do' book looks amazing. i just read a few pages on amazon - just after getting a text from my business partner asking if i'm enjoying the sunshine...

...which for me is much higher on the list of annoying questions than 'are they twins'!!!

frumpygrumpyhasPMT · 25/07/2008 15:15

Pazza, howdy hen I also used to hate when people would say "oh in the warm weather all babies want to do is sleep".........erm NO.

Pixi, I gave away most of my young baby things but I will have a good look through what is in the loft and what is in the wardrobes! Would anything in particular be good (a certain age/sex) or just anything? Toys/books too or not?
