Oh Oooggs, Happy birthday to your DTs! Can they really already be 1? Where is the time going? I swear I'll look in the mirror tomorrow and be an old lady.

Devonians - does it ever stop raining here? I'm sure it didn't rain this much in London. It's like living under a black cloud.

shabster · 29/03/2008 13:52

Hiya Pixie - the weather here is exactly the same. I cant wait for Summer.

Hope you are ok? Thinking about you Pixie

iamdingdong · 29/03/2008 15:10

triplets so sorry to hear the news about H - at least now you know, you can deal with it and the initial uncertainty is over fwiw I think telling the kids was absolutely the right thing to do

happy birthday erin and jack

Egg · 29/03/2008 15:44

Happy birthday to the Ooooglets . A whole year.

Pixi how are you today? Hope you are feeling ok. At least once you have the baby you should get some energy back (pregnancy is far more tiring than babies IMO).

frumpygrumpy · 29/03/2008 15:45

Happy Birthday to the mini ooogs! Time on this thread just shoots in doesn't it! Do have a glass of bubbly, that first year is a whizz!

Triplets, I'm so glad you told them. They will be shocked. I guess you and Harry have had time to suspect and wonder. You must take care of yourself too. Even telling the children will take a lot out of you, as you absorb their worries and sadness too. You keep taking care of you. Offload it here x.

Shabs, thats lovely. I think if Dan hadn't wanted to go, he would have said so. So great that you have the confirmation that it was the right thing. The truth is always easiest to deal with. No surprises that way.

Cuppa tea I think.

largeginandtonic · 29/03/2008 16:32

Triplets i am so sorry to hear the news about Harry, you must all be beside yourselves with worry. I think you are such a brave lady and are doing a fantastic job supporting everyone. The children did need to be told and you have done it in such a good way. They pick up so much from what is happening around them, it would have been futile to keep it from them. They can help and support too, my children have surprised me so much in the past with how grown up and sensitive i need then to be sometimes. Lots of love to you and the family, we are all here. Always.

Pixi i cannot believe your run of luck. I think you have earned a well deserved a pain free 2 hour labour with an angel child. I am thinking of you all the time and so wish i was around to help you. Momma and Tiggs sound just lovely and i am so pleased you have them with you. They truly are fantastic.

HM i hope you managed to get away to the spa and indulge, i am very

Shabs you are being a fab friend to triplets just being at the end of the phone. I think you are both amazing women and it must help so much to have each other through everything

Now FG... i saw a few cryptic points in some of your posts. You mentioned sore bobos and nausea. You have also been poorly, are you in fact on your ass from early pregnancy? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Erin and Jack!!!!!! And a huge well done to mummy oooogs for getting them ther

HarrogateMum · 29/03/2008 16:46

Triplets - I've only just got back and caught up but wanted to say I'm sorry it wasnt better news for you. I too think you did the right thing in being honest with the children, I think it is the only option. I am sending you lots and lots of love sat here even though you are a long way away. You are very strong and will come through the other side even stronger.

Shabs - I would love to be able to help you out to help Trips out - if I didnt have a job and kids I would come pick you up now and take you down to her!

Happy birthday to JAck and Erin!

LG&T - I did have a fab time, we had a meal last night which was very delicious, a nice bottle of wine, then collapsed in bed at 10.30, ha ha! Had a facial this morning, then had a swim and a go in the jacuzzi followed by checking out and going shopping for 3 hours. Got back at 4pm to total devastation at our house. DH is upset because he has had to tell his sister that we wont be moving to Australia this year for financial reasons, she got really pissed off and angry with him whic upsets me as its not her that was planning to uproot her whole family! Sigh, always a cloud!

Good evening my lovley ladies - how the devil are you all these evening?

TiggerOfDevon · 29/03/2008 19:16

Errr...hang on Madam..how come you keep it clean here and leave my place in a blardy state? Hmm?

tkband3 · 29/03/2008 20:15

Triplets, I'm so sorry the news wasn't better for you and DH yesterday. I'd definitely agree with the others that honesty with the children is the best option. And there is always someone here for you as well. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

A big happy birthday to the mini-ooogs and a well done to ooogs and DH for surviving the first year . We celebrated our DTs 1st birthday with a small tea party for them with cake, then several of our friends round for champagne and curry in the evening after they were in bed .

I took my DTs to the cinema today for the first time (we saw Horton hears a Who). I wasn't sure how they'd react and they weren't sure about the dark to start with - we got there just after it started so we didn't have to suffer interminable adverts. But they sat through the whole 1.5 hours - and without needing a wee as well . DT2 sat on my lap, but DT1 looked so sweet in her big seat next to me, with her popcorn. But at the cost of it all. We won't be doing it often and next time I'm taking my own popcorn .

Oh and I am definitely coming to the meet-up - emailed snorris last night. DH still hasn't decided whether or not he needs the car, but if he doesn't, I'll definitely drive and will have room for 3/4 passengers. If not, I'll get the train with Mars and goldenoldie (if they don't mind me tagging along with them!).

Pixi, hope you're doing ok with all you have to cope with - looks like that baby is hanging on till you're ready!

Saturday is curry night in this house - and it's just arrived...yum yum .

shabster · 29/03/2008 21:51

Hiya everybody - Tom has finally come off the computer and is bopping all around the living room!! We've got VH1 on and Mika (his most favourite singer in the whole world) is in concert. He is a happy bunny - Tomster not Mika (although Mika is not miserable!)

All the Year 6 children auditioned for the school choir. Most of them did Britney Spears songs but the mighty Tomster came out and sang Riders on the storm by the Doors. He also rapped some of it because he has heard two different versions!! Music teacher almost choked with laughter cause Tomster has a Barry White type voice!! She said 'I cant use him in the choir because his voice is soooooo deep but High school will love him' THATS MY BOY

He loves - Mika, Robbie, old Tamla Motown and especially the song 'Living la vida loca' which he sings on every karaoke night in Faliraki - and WINS prizes including money xxx

Do i dare pop in to say hi?

And have a quick and slightly public laugh at DTD1 and DTD2 hating each other's guts but doting on their baby sister like two clucking old ladies?

shabster · 29/03/2008 22:25

Momma - Night love, sleep tight.xxxxx

Mars - showoff xxxxx

MarsLady · 29/03/2008 22:38

Of course you can Godzilla!

Arsenal... 3 Bolton.... 2 sorry!

GodzillasPimplyBumcheek · 29/03/2008 22:40

Good good, cos by the time i can catch up it'll be another two weeks before i can post again...

You are a show off though, btw. I can't even do a two-handed cartwheel. I would look like an ungainly walrus if i even tried.
