Either way would be fine by him!!

frumpygrumpy · 17/03/2008 23:20

Pixi, always here, anytime. I have vented so much on here and it made me the well balanced liar soul that I am today I have that book by my bed. What does he do? Awake or sleeping? Upset or not? Every night? What day sleep does he have? Does he re-settle alone?

shabster · 17/03/2008 23:27

ok my lovleys - Im off to bedfordshire. Up the apples and pears, up the dolly dancers (thats a weird one must be a lancashire saying) Thanks for your good company tonight - see you in the morning.

OMG 30 years of crap wedded bliss to celebrate tomorrow - cant wait

FG he's had weird sleep for ages but it's gotten worse since we first moved and even worse now. It started as an occasional high pitched scream and he'd then re-settle himself.

Now, he wakes up for an hour or so every night and chatters away (at the top of his voice) occassionally issuing a bellow or a chuckle but not seeming in need of anything or anyone. If I go in to him DT1 will wake up and start crying and then DT2 will cry, if I stay away he'll settle himself down and go back to sleep.

It's not a huge deal as I don't have to do anything for him, but enough to wake me and keep me awake until I know he's gone back off. Last week it started at 3.30am and has been getting earlier.

They usually have a daytime nap at 11am till 12.30.

frumpygrumpy · 17/03/2008 23:53

I'll read up.......

MarsLady · 17/03/2008 23:55

Pixi!!!!!!!!! I'm more than sure that there are ways we can help.

If I wasn't booked up solid with clients I'd come down to Devon and stay with you until this baby was born (I could share with the DTs lol).

Ask Momma! And TELL US WHAT WE CAN DO!!!!!!!! Did we not have this conversation already?

Off to my bed. It was the drooling on the couch that gave me away.

DD2 seems better but temp still up. Still, she went to bed without complaint...oh hang on... that's a sign of illness. Sigh..........

Cancelled work for tomorrow. I do hope no one goes into labour and I hope she gets better in time to go to her school assembly on Thursday... but I'm not holding my breath. (I almost typed breasts! )

shabster · 18/03/2008 08:25

Morning ladies.

Just taken my happy pill (beta blocker) and almost took DH diabetic stuff - ha ha We sound like a right pair of old crocks dont we?

Pixie - I want to come and catch Pixie Jnr! Trouble is I am usless around bodily functions if someone is sick within 300 miles of me I join in!! Never held anybodys hair out of the way whilst they spew Could do with renting a small venue - maybe Wembley Stadium and having a multiples birthing event!! You could sell the story and photo's to OK magazine and make a fortune.

shabster · 18/03/2008 08:32

ooogs - so happy you got the school place.

I had a shock this year when trying to get a place at high school for he mighty tomster. Cause I have a 16 year gap between my lads and didn't have this problem with DS1. How times change? I always listen on the news each year to how many children are disappointed but it was a 'nerve wracking' time in Shabster Towers.

We didn't get what we wanted but - ce sera sera

TiggerMeJigs · 18/03/2008 08:40

Coooffffeeee.......cooofffeeeee........

I have no-one to take Mo and Po to school tody so they have to stay home. You know what its like girls, having healthy and sick kids together..not a good mix I have been up all night with Bran and the only thought that has kept me going is the thought that I could sleep with him today but don't think that will be happening now

Bum... bum.... bum.... bum!!!!!!!!

Pixi,I can still disinfect your little corner of my house that I have kept clear for you.....actually I have a big manhut shed at the bottom of my garden with a t.v. sky and computer in. You can go in (you'll have your own key) and hide and I can post your meals through the letter box!! However trying to deliever the baby that way might be a little difficult

Pixi everything I have said still stands,I'm just not the sort of person to keep hassling

shabster · 18/03/2008 08:42

Tigs - morning me owd mucker

HarrogateMum · 18/03/2008 08:49

Pixi - I only just read up from yesterday, just wanted to send you my love. I totally empathise with conflicting feelings surrounding your MIL, vent as much as you want to on here, you know we will all listen and try to help wherever we can. I agree with everyone else (they are all so much more eloquent than I) about the baby being the priority for you right now. FG's words hit the nail right on the head. Infact, I have worked out who FG is, she isnt Gabby Logan, she is infact Claire Rayner.

Triplets - I know you will have already left but hope today goes ok for you.

Oooggs well done on the school! Can tell you are over the moon.

I seem to have missed out on the sick kids thing, nothing more than colds in the HM house, but I have probably just jinxed myself by saying that.

ChopsTheDuck · 18/03/2008 09:13

sorry to hear what a hellish time you are having pxi. I'd def taek momma up on her offer.

I think I'm off to legoland today, need to get out of the house. I'm not sleeping well and have little patience with the kids, so best to get out! Dp's gran has been moved to a stroke unit and we should get the results of the ct scan today and see how bad things are, so we have everything crossed for that.

ChopsTheDuck · 18/03/2008 09:14

m8ine are all sneezing and I'm really hoping it doesn't turn into anything, because then we won't be able to visit gran!

ChopsTheDuck · 18/03/2008 09:19

Oh and triplets, it's interesting what you say about consistancy. I'm not sure how similar the symptoms of dyslexia are to dyspraxia, but in dyspraxia, the symptoms aren't consistant. One day ds1 might be able to do something, the next he can't. I can't remember the exact science behind it, but I would think it would be the same for dyslexics.

How severe is his dyslexia? Has he seen the eduication psychologest? I would ask for him to be assessed and ask about an Individual Education Plan. They can then consider whether a laptop would be appropriate or what other help he needs. Also, ask about extra time for exams, or other help. ds1 will probably be getting someone to write for him for subjects other than english when he does he sats next year.
