No fetal movement in a day and a half

29 weeks with twins. Had scan last Wednesday. Went perfect. Heartbeat great, size great ect. However I haven't had movement in a day and a half since yesterday. Going to ring midwife first thing tomorrow to get in for a check.

Somethings terribly wrong isn't it? This can't be normal.

PosyPrettyToes · 06/11/2023 22:14

@Thekirit can you show me where anyone said they were dangerous? I can only see people referring to relying on those as markers of fetal health being dangerous, which is correct. Movements generated by stimulus aren’t part of the baby’s natural pattern of movement, so whilst it’s a reassurance, to go by these solely could provide a false sense of security when it would be better to seek appropriate care by being seen at triage.

Hiddenvoice · 06/11/2023 22:19

Read your updates op, you’ve done the right thing is going to hospital. I’ve been to triage at night a few times in my pregnancies and they’ve always scanned me.

Whiskeypowers · 06/11/2023 22:21

@Thekirit If someone is on all fours, shagging or doing whatever with cold etc, that's time they're spending when they could be getting evidence based help. It's pretty impossible to get help and do whatever-it-is at exactly the same time. They would tend to delay people, if only while they were waiting to see if anything happened in response to their experiment with cold or whatever.

Vet73 · 06/11/2023 22:28

hopefully they’ve got themselves tucked away where you can’t feel them. Good luck
