29 weeks with twins. Had scan last Wednesday. Went perfect. Heartbeat great, size great ect. However I haven't had movement in a day and a half since yesterday. Going to ring midwife first thing tomorrow to get in for a check.

Somethings terribly wrong isn't it? This can't be normal.

OP posts:

Wishing you luck. You definitely can't ignore these things.

Bakedbeansandtoast · 06/11/2023 22:45

Hoping all is ok with your babies OP.

Just arrived at hospital. Waiting to be seen. Was ringing hospital for ages so just drove in. Hopefully all will be ok

Hoping all will be well for you and your babies @Ella31. Please update us if you feel up to it.

Agreed which is why myself and other MNs also said go and get checked out.
Our advice wasn’t instead of.

Still waiting to hear the dangers of cold drinks, sex and yoga during pregnancy

Thank you very much for your response !

It's not the cold drinks, yoga and sex that are dangerous. It's the advice to bother with any of that in this scenario. Why waste time on yoga or drinks when your babies may be struggling? It isn't going to help. Even if you feel movement (which doesn't necessarily mean they are completely fine anyway) with twins you won't know if it's both or just one that you can feel.

Same 😢💐

Wishing you all the best. Hope you’re seeing soon

senior30 @ 21:36

I’m not wasting my time engaging with you after this, if all these replies haven’t made you realise that your ADVICE was dangerous then nothing will. Your suggestions all lead to delays in seeking help or providing a false sense of security.
at no point did I say that sex, drinking cold fluids or rocking backwards on all fours is dangerous. In the context of reduced movements I stand by my comment.
I do not want a person reading this thread seeing people say ‘just have a cold drink, go and have sex’ and delaying seeking professional help.

carly2803 · 06/11/2023 23:03

hope all is ok. never hesitate - just go!

RogersOrganismicProcess · 06/11/2023 23:04

Good luck op. Wishing you and the babies all the best.

Glad you made it to hospital Op.
i wish you and babies all the best! 💐

Hi, can anyone on here from mumsnet please post a link to kicks count? Also we need to be so careful giving advice if it's out dated. This is from the kicks count charity. We don't advise to count kicks but always call if there is a reduction or change in moments.

Should I prompt my baby to move?
No.
As it can cause a delay in getting medical advice, trying to make your baby move isn't recommended. If your baby's movements are concerning you, always call your maternity unit.

Weird
My first piece of advice was get a scan or heart monitor

I knew you would not be able to give proof that anything suggested was dangerous. As they aren’t.
At least that’s all confirmed then.

Apologies if you found it upsetting better outed to the MN midwife on tonight, it wasn’t meant to upset you just to clarify my comment to her/him.

fireworksmyass · 06/11/2023 23:13

At last you've listened. Hope everything is all well x

LulooLemon · 06/11/2023 23:16

Good luck OP

Lots of outdated advice on this thread. Fingers crossed @Ella31 that everything is fine!

24 hours a day though? I’m in London and I’m sure our MAU closed at a certain time. Maybe A&E? I don’t know perhaps I’m wrong!

Definitely wrong - I’m in London and MAU is where I went at 2am when my waters broke with no contractions. They have to be ready to see women 24/7. EPU is obviously different.

TemporaryName123 · 06/11/2023 23:30

Oh Ella, I’m really hoping you return with positive news x

Kitcaterpillar · 06/11/2023 23:31

@Thekirit You're honestly not making the strong and compelling arguments you believe you are.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 06/11/2023 23:38

Hope all is well

Thekirit · 06/11/2023 23:38

2 hours since Ella arrived at hospital.
Im sure she’s got better things to think about than getting back on MN but just really hoping all is well with both her babies.

BabyPapa · 06/11/2023 23:58

This happened to my wife 6 weeks before due date we didnt wait and went straight to the hospital at 4AM called them on the car enroute and they scanned and confirmed waters had broke and babys leg was tangled in cord. We were parents 4 days later via emergency C section after infection markers appeared

Never delay!!

MeMySonAnd1 · 07/11/2023 00:00

Hoping you and babies are ok.

Rachie1973 · 07/11/2023 00:02
